Erich Schwer’s Ex Speaks Out After ‘Bachelorette’ Finale Speech
Erich Schwer won Gabby Windey’s heart on The Bachelorette. The couple is finding their way outside of the show. However, it’s not been without a few controversies along the way. Erich addressed one of these controversies Tuesday night. He talked about the text messages that surfaced that he had sent to his ex, Amanda. Now, she’s speaking out again about the messages and about what Erich said.
Erich Schwer’s ex slams his comments
Amanda Kaylor spoke out to US Weekly regarding her ex-boyfriend, Erich Schwer. According to Amanda, Erich downplayed their relationship a lot when speaking on After the Final Rose.
She said, “He sent me two dozen roses two weeks after I ended things because I didn’t wanna stay with him while he went on the show. … With a note saying, ‘I’ll never stop thinking about you.’” She continued saying, “[His comments on the finale are] such bulls—t but wish them the best. She will learn.”
The text messages in question reveal Erich telling Amanda he is going on the show and telling her it’s all fake. He told her he wanted to go on the show to try and find a new career path since he was unemployed at that time.
However, according to Erich, that all changed when he met Gabby Windey. He was blown away by her and did fall in love.
According to Amanda, Erich had also spent a significant amount of time at her place and with her son.
The two did not have a label on their relationship and neither had declared it to be love.

During the live finale on Tuesday, Erich addressed Amanda’s texts and said, “I met this girl about a month before it started and I had no idea I was going to come here. Ultimately, I realized that there was not a connection long-term, and it was about the same time the show reached out. I handled it poorly, 100 percent. I led her on and I want to own that.”
He also noted he did not blame Amanda for releasing the texts. As for Gabby, she said she has trust in Erich and in their relationship. She believes what he has told her about the texts. Plus, she shared that Erich revealed the texts before they were ever released to the public.
