Online Troll Ruins Kelly Ripa’s Big Moment

Kelly Ripa celebrated her big moment on Instagram. She geared up for the release of her memoir titled Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories, which is a collection of stories that took place throughout her life. It’s slated for release on Tuesday, September 27. In the meantime, Kelly has been celebrating every journey of her book with her fans and followers.

On Thursday, September 15, a camera crew followed Kelly into her New York City home. She got a surprise from her editor, Carrie Thornton, who showed up with a hard-cover copy of her unreleased book. The former soap star was emotional over that moment.

However, some people aren’t impressed. One troll tried to dump on Kelly Ripa’s special moment. Read on to learn more and to see what she had to say.

Kelly Ripa shares a special moment with fans

In the Instagram video, the 51-year-old wore a green short-sleeved shirt with white jeans. She wrapped an arm around Carrie as she got a good look at her book. Kelly was in disbelief upon seeing the final project. Her editor admitted that she feels like they’ve become lifelong friends because they worked on it for so long.

“We’ve had so many…” Kelly Ripa started to say before Carrie jumped in and said: “I feel like we’ve known each other for 30 years.”

“Well, we have now,” the Live! host admitted.

“For 300 pages,” Carrie added. Kelly added: “You’ve known me for 52 years. Thank you, thank you so much. I’m going to bring this to my parents.”

Kelly Ripa referred to Carrie as her “long-suffering editor.” Carrie congratulated her on this big moment. The All My Children alum captioned the video: “When your editor surprises you with the first edition. Hot off the presses!” Check out the video in its entirety here.

She received support from her famous friends. Comedian Chelsea Handler wrote: “I want an Action Park T-shirt! And the book, obvi.” Faith Ford used the following emojis: “❤️🙌👏👏👏” Cameron Mathison simply added: “👏👏👏” and Norah O’Donnell wrote: “Congratulations @kellyripa 👏👏👏”

Kelly Ripa even received support from her fans. However, not everyone was impressed. One bored troll wrote: “Everyone in Hollywood has written a book. What else is new today?”

Kelly Ripa clapped back: “Yea but I live in New York so……”

Her book release hasn’t gone flawlessly. She previously struggled to sell tickets for her book tour. The first date takes place in New Jersey, where her husband Mark Consuelos will join her. Despite the lackluster interest, her book has gotten plenty of buzz through the media.
