Bringing Up Bates fans made a shocking discovery on social media, revealing that Lawson Bates’ wife, Tiffany Espensen, might be snubbing the whole family. Tiffany only officially joined the Bates family in May when she and Lawson got married in San Diego. From what the Bates family members have shared online, it looks like they get along just fine with Tiffany.

On Reddit, Bringing Up Bates fans pointed out that Tiffany has unfollowed every member of the Bates family on Instagram. Before this, she was following Lawson’s parents, Kelly and Gil, as well as his many siblings.
Now, as you can see in the screenshot below, she’s following just 46 people. She was previously following quite a few more.
When the family’s last name is searched, Lawson Bates is the only one that shows up in her following list. So, her husband appears to be the only Bates family member she still follows.
Bringing Up Bates fans think something is going on.
When fans discovered that Tiffany had unfollowed every member of the Bates family, they were pretty surprised. Many Reddit users believe that something has to be going on here.
One fan weighs in and says, “This is juicy! She doesn’t seem happy.”
Others think that this move has to do with Tiffany’s acting career. With Bringing Up Bates being canceled and there being many rumors about the Bates family, fans wonder if she’s trying to create some distance. One fan writes, “OH! She did… I bet the documentary is about to DROP & she did it for acting career reasons!”
