Netflix’s ‘Uncle From Another World’ Back With New Episodes?
Popular Isekai anime Uncle From Another World premiered on July 6, 2022, on AT-X. The series is currently streaming on Netflix and is 7 episodes in. The series followed a weekly release schedule dropping new episodes every Wednesday. Unfortunately, the anime went on an indefinite hiatus citing unforeseen delays due to COVID-19 infections in the production houses associated with the anime.
Uncle From Another World Episode 8 To Premiere In November
But, there is good news for fans. The anime’s staff recently confirmed that the series will start to resume airing new episodes on November 24, 2022, in Japan. This will happen as the makers re-air the previous seven episodes leading up to the premiere of Episode 8. The rebroadcast in Japan will start on October 6. So, it is safe to say that the ninth episode of the series will be available globally on Netflix in November.

However, this isn’t the first time the anime hit a snag. COVID-19 also interfered with the premiere of its fifth episode. It was delayed for two weeks from its original August 3 schedule.
What Is Uncle From Another World About?
Uncle From Another World is a manga-anime adaptation by the creator Hotondoshindeiru. The manga was serialized by Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website starting in June 2018. As per CBR.com, the anime series entails the story of the uncle of a boy who goes by the name Takafumi Takaoka. After an unfortunate truck accident, Takafumi’s uncle winds up in a comatose state for 17 years. However, he suddenly wakes up one day claiming that he was transported to another world while he was in a coma. He also explained to his nephew that in this other world, he served as a heroic guardian.

At first, Takafumi doesn’t believe his uncle. However, later on, he learns that his uncle was really speaking the truth and also possesses some magical powers. Following this revelation, Takafumi tries to adjust to his new life with his uncle who loves to showcase his magical powers. As the duo tries to adjust to modern society, they try to make some money by putting up videos of his uncle performing magic on social media.
Shigeki Kawai From Naruto Fame Is The Anime’s Director
The series is produced by Studio Atelier Pontdarc. It is a relatively new name in the animation world and was founded in 2020. However, if you take a look at the animation and other aspects, the production house sure gives tough competition to the leading names in the anime industry.

The series also has big names associated with the series. Shigeki Kawai is the director who is popular for his work on the Naruto franchise. Additionally, Kenta Ihara from the Vinland Saga fame is in charge of the script and series composition.
