Chrissy Teigen Shares Her Truth About Miscarriage With Son, Jack
Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend are relishing their current pregnancy. Monday evening, they were seen holding hands and beaming as they walked the red carpet at the Primetime Emmys. However, just two years ago they were mourning the loss of their unborn son, Jack. Chrissy had explained, at the time, that she had suffered a miscarriage at twenty weeks. Now, the thirty-six-year-old is sharing what actually happened. Read on for more details.
Chrissy Teigen Makes A Heartbreaking Choice
Thursday, Chrissy spoke at Propper Daley’s summit, according to The Hollywood Reporter. There, she was remarkably candid about losing baby Jack at just twenty weeks.“Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions. It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention,” Chrissy recalled.
Though she told outlets at the time that she had suffered a miscarriage, that actually was not the case. Then, the walls came down as she was speaking and she said it like it was. “Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.” It started to become clear to Chrissy what had actually happened when Roe v. Wade was overturned earlier this summer.
It made her sympathize with women who were going to have to make such “emotional” decisions. Then, her husband, musician, John Legend pointed out that she had been one of those people. She admitted it made her “frustrated” that she had not been transparent from the beginning about what has happened. Yet, it seems she needed time to even process what she truly went through.
Living In The Now
Now, two years later, Chrissy Teigen is preparing to welcome a new life into her family. This baby will join her two children Luna who is six and Miles who is four. As of now, the gender has not been revealed but she and John Legend are just happy to be expecting their rainbow baby. Fans of the couple can catch John as a coach on the upcoming season of The Voice, which premieres September 19. No doubt, Chrissy and her family will be cheering him all the way to the finals.
