She recently had a starring role in the film The Whale where she played Brendan Fraser’s daughter. And her ensemble at the premiere had everyone talking!

Sadie Sink lands a starring role in The Whale
The premiere of The Whale took place at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. It’s expected to come to theaters for the general public in December. But already, critics can’t stop talking about the film. Many are excited to see Brendan Fraser return to the silver screen.
Rotten Tomatoes says the film is about, “A reclusive English teacher suffering from severe obesity attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption.”
According to 20-year-old Sadie Sink, the filming process was really unique.
“It was a really small cast and a small set, and we had a whole three weeks of rehearsal and Darren [Aronofsky] kind of wanted to treat it as if it were a play, because The Whale originally was a play,” the Stranger Things actress told Collider. “The way he staged it and the way we rehearsed it, the same as you would do in a theater company, he taped the walls of the set and everything so that we could rehearse in a mock space I guess.”

Now that filming and production are over, the stars get to enjoy promotional events for the film. Sadie Sink dazzled the crowd with her red gown at the premiere in Toronto.
Photographers snapped photos of her looking very grown up next to her costar Brendan Fraser. Viewers generally see Sadie Sink as a teenager onscreen and many forget that she’s actually 20 years old. In previous interviews, Sadie revealed that the Stranger Things team almost didn’t cast her at all because of her age.

After the premiere, Twitter and other social media platforms absolutely lit up with images of Sadie and Brendan at the event. A week before the screening in Toronto, the pair attended a screening at the Venice Film Festival. After the film ended, the audience gave Brendan Fraser a six-minute standing ovation, which reportedly brought the actor to tears.
