‘Duck Dynasty’s’ Si Robertson gives major health update
Fans of Duck Dynasty fell in love with the Robertson family, but most held a special place in their hearts for Si Robertson. Uncle Si had some tough news lately concerning his health. Luckily, he has just updated fans on his current condition and what might be next for the reality TV star.
Uncle Si gives Duck Dynasty fans a health update
Back in June, Si Robertson let Duck Dynasty fans know he was preparing for what was called a life-saving lung surgery. At the time, the 74-year-old said that he had bad habits, including smoking that led to severe damage to his lungs. He then tested positive for COVID-19 and thought he might die.
At the time, Si said that his problem wasn’t taking air into his lungs. He said there were problems when he tried to exhale because his lungs were not working properly. This meant that he had to have surgery that would install a device in his lungs to help them perform and function as they were supposed to. He said the surgery was approved and he felt there would be a 95-percent chance he would be back to talk everyone’s ears off again soon.
Finally, Si had surgery in September and was back to let Ducky Dynasty fans know how he was doing. In an Instagram post, Si wrote, “The doc says surgery went great. I’m ready to get back at it, Jack! Thanks for all the prayers and support. It means the world to us.” He included a photo of him on the hospital bed.
Si has promised fans that he would be back with his podcast soon. His podcasting partner, Justin Martin responded to Si’s post as well. He wrote, “come on back! We got podcasts to do! Praying for ya old man. We love ya!” Fans are surely ready for more Uncle Si and it sounds like he is coming through okay.
Si Robertson’s most recent posts celebrated Sadie Robertson’s new album
The Instagram post by Si Robertson had to relieve Duck Dynasty fans, who have not heard from him on the social media platform in over four weeks. His last post was about Sadie Robertson and her new album. In that post, Si wrote, “Congrats to Sadie on the new album! That is one incredible young lady, and the Lord is doing amazing things through her.”
That was Sadie’s release of her new EP titled Steady Light with LO Worship. The album hit early in August. Sadie Robertson, 25, is Willie and Korie Robertson’s daughter, and Duck Dynasty fans have watched her grow up on their television screens. On top of the new EP music, Sadie also wrote a New York Times bestselling book in 2014 called Live Original and competed on Dancing with the Stars, where she finished as the runner-up in Season 19.
