Fox’s ‘Monarch’ Season 1 Release Date: What To Expect
Fans who loved Fox’s popular TV series Glee will be excited to know that the network is back with another new musical drama. Monarch features both country and Hollywood music royalty that includes names like Trace Adkins, Susan Sarandon, and Anna Friel. Created and executive produced by Melissa London Hilfers, the series was announced in May 2021.
Jon Feldman Replaced Michael Rauch As The Showrunner
Initially, Michael Rauch was the prime showrunner and one of the executive producers. However, he was later on replaced by Jon Feldman in November 2021. Apart from Jon, other executive producers from the show include Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady, and Jason Owen. As per sources, the episodes are about an hour long. The show also features a two-part pilot that is executive produced and directed by Jason Ensler. Principal photography for the new series started on September 13, 2021, and concluded on March 31, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia.

As per Meaww, this Fox series is a musical drama about a country music family known as the Romans. The series is slated for a debut on September 11, 2022. This is a special presentation following the NFL on Fox Week 1 Doubleheader across different time zones. Although it will initially premiere on a Sunday, it will shift to Tuesday nights from September 20 at 9 pm ET.
Monarch Faced Unprecedented Delays Before Premiere
Monarch TV series was originally scheduled for a January 30 premiere. However, on January 12, the network announced that the show’s premiere would be delayed citing COVID-19-related issues. Not just that, the change in the showrunner also impacted the production. The series was delayed to fall 2022 to allow for reshoots and a more thorough promotional campaign.

Later on June 6, the final premiere schedule was announced. Fans who wish to watch the series can do so on Fox. The show will also be available on FuboTV, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV. The latest episodes of the show are going to stream the next day on Hulu after airing on Fox.
What Is Fox’s Monarch Series All About?
Monarch revolves around the Roman family and their legacy. Albie Roman and Dottie Cantrell Roman, played by Adkins and Sarandon respectively, are parents to three children. Two of these children are rival vocalists Beth Ditto as Gigi Taylor-Roman and Anna Friel as Nicolette Roman. Albie and Dottie’s other son, Luke Roman, played by Joshua Sasse works best to keep their clan together regardless of his sisters’ ego & validation requirements.
