‘Bringing Up Bates’ Erin Bates Fuels Rumors About Family Drama?
Bringing Up Bates fans have speculated for months that there is some kind of drama going on within the Bates family. Fans particularly think something happened with Erin Bates Paine and her relatives, though nothing has been confirmed by the family. So, what has Erin said or done that has reignited these rumors?
Some of these rumors began when Erin left her role at the Bates Sisters Boutique, handing it over to just Carlin and Whitney. Kelly Jo Bates appears to be filling in here and there, too.
But now, fans think that Erin is only adding fuel to the fire.

On Instagram, Erin and her husband, Chad Paine, share a profile, but it looks like she does most of the posting. She sometimes interacts with her siblings and likes or comments on their posts. However, it looks like that all may be coming to an end.
As you can see in the screenshot below, which was taken from her profile on Friday, September 9, Erin is only following one profile. The profile she follows is her business page, which is where she and Chad sell a variety of religious items.
She was previously following members of the Bringing Up Bates family, as well as friends.

This change in Erin’s social media following made it on the Bringing Up Bates subreddit, and now fans are talking all about it. Many fans are shocked by this and think there must have been a falling out between some of the Bates family members.
On Reddit, one Bringing Up Bates fan claims that Erin was previously following around 150 accounts. So, she had to take a good amount of time to unfollow everyone.
Some fans were previously uncertain about the rumors that family members were feuding, but this change from Erin has made them more confident. One fan says, ” I feel like there is real drama in this family.”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan adds, “I do think something big went down but man they’re good at keeping stuff quiet.”
Someone else speculates, “Maybe she wanted to unfollow some particular members of her family but did not want to make a huge commotion, so she unfollowed everyone. Then no one would know who she was upset with.”
It’s unclear why Erin unfollowed so many people, and any drama is still unconfirmed. But fans think this is a hint that something has to be going on.
