The Bringing Up Bates star opens up about her health challenges.

In a new YouTube video on Friday, Alyssa Bates gave fans a peek behind the scenes of the past few weeks. At the beginning of the video, she said that she couldn’t keep anything down and was pretty dehydrated, which was concerning.

She tried several medications to figure out what would work for her. This is challenging, especially because she has four young kids at home and her husband, John, works. So, he has had to pick up the slack. It sounds like they both have a lot on their plates right now.

She is even getting IVs at home every week or two. Fortunately, this seems to be helping somewhat, so she is able to keep some things down. She still throws up at night, however. She’s been sleeping as much as she can throughout the day and is basically on bedrest until she feels better.

Also in the video, Alyssa Bates and John Webster gave an update after a doctor’s appointment and shared the first sonogram photos of the baby. This was at the nine-week mark. Everything seems to be going well, except for nausea, vomiting, and feeling sick in general.

In response to Alyssa Bates’ video, fans are offering to pray for her and are sending in suggestions. Hopefully, she will feel better very soon.
