Peta Murgatroyd Celebrates A MAJOR Milestone In Her Son’s Life
Dancing With The Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd has definitely had a difficult year. After struggling with infertility and miscarriages, she and her husband Maks Chmerkovskiy announced they would try IVF. Sadly, at the end of the summer, Peta announced that the IVF treatments didn’t work. However, this did mean that the dancer was now free to compete in DWTS Season 31. Fans are glad to have Peta back but wish it was under happier circumstances.
Despite the pain and heartbreak Maks and Peta went through this year, there is some happy news to share. Their five-year-old son Shai just crossed a huge milestone. Keep reading to see the sweet photo.
Peta Murgatroyd has a proud mama moment online
Peta is in New York at the moment for her appearance on Good Morning America. However, she still had time to celebrate Shai’s special day.
“First day of kindergarten!” Maks shared on his own Instagram page. “Shai’s is excited, @petamurgatroyd is devastated, pops (me) is not ok. The whole ‘blink and he’s an adult’ thing is too real. Tearing up in the parking lot….again 😭😭😭”
In response, Peta posted the “back to school” photo on her Instagram story with the caption, “my baby.” In the photo, fans can see Shai beaming from ear to ear. According to his sign, Shai would love to be a boat driver when he grows up.
Fans, friends, and followers flooded the comment section to wish Shai well on his first day of school. Many DWTS fans watched Peta and Maks fall in love on television. It’s hard for many to believe that their little boy is already starting Kindergarten.

Who will the dancer team up with for Season 31?
The DWTS production team has been doing everything possible to keep a few secrets ahead of the big reveal on GMA. Fans already know Peta will be part of the pro dancer team, but they aren’t quite sure who her celebrity partner is. There are only a few male celebrity names that have been leaked so far.
Recently, online sleuths suspected that Modern Family star Ty Burrell might compete. Peta shared a rehearsal room photo with her partner just off to the side. Fans could only see his arm and part of his frame but felt certain that Ty Burrell might be a possibility.
Either way, fans hope that Peta has an amazing season. She definitely deserves it after a year of heartbreak and pain.
