DWTS pro Emma Slater may be navigating through a breakup right now, but that isn’t going to stop her from competing in the ballroom this fall. She reportedly split from her husband and castmate Sasha Farber earlier this year. Since then, the two went on to work on So You Think You Can Dance together this summer so it seems like the two are on decent terms.
Now that Emma is back from her European vacation with her twin sister Kelly, she’s ready to start practicing with her celebrity partner. The official cast list isn’t out yet, but DWTS insider Kristyn Burtt knows who Emma will compete with this year. Keep reading for details.
Emma Slater prepares to compete with a beloved actor this year
Hallmark stars do occasionally make appearances on Dancing With The Stars. Jesse Metcalfe teamed up with Sharna Burgess for Season 29. They didn’t get very far in the competition, but Hallmark lovers enjoyed seeing them together. Now, it seems like another Hallmark star is about to enter the ballroom.
Is Emma Slater prepared for a new challenge after a long summer navigating her divorce?
Kristyn Burtt reports that Emma Slater will team up with Hallmark star Trevor Donovan. TV Shows Ace previously noted that the 43-year-old actor would compete in Season 31. Internet sleuths managed to figure out he was competing in the competition based on his social media activity.
Fans aren’t quite sure if Trevor Donovan can dance, but are very excited to see him compete. Time will tell how far he and Emma go in the competition this year. Check out the grand cast list reveal on Good Morning America on September 8.
What else can fans expect from the latest DWTS season?
The DWTS production team has tried its best to stop casting leaks from happening. But there’s no stopping the internet sleuths and super fans. It’s also been leaked that actor Wayne Brady will join the cast this year as well as singer Jordin Sparks.
Right now, there are 14 professional dancers as well as a troupe of four. There were 15 pro dancers until Sharna Burgess confirmed she was pulling out of the competition last week.
There will definitely be some new surprises this year as DWTS moves to Disney+ this year. There won’t be any commercials, which will be nice for viewers. However, performers rely on commercial breaks for costume changes and to catch their breath. It will be interesting to see how the show pulls it off this year.
Ready for Dancing With The Stars Season 31? Check back for more information very soon. The official cast list will be out on September 8, so you don’t have much longer to wait!
