Joy-Anna Forsyth gets real about motherhood.

In a new Instagram post on Tuesday, Joy-Anna Forsyth shared a couple of photos of her two-year-old daughter, Evelyn. In the caption of her post, Joy-Anna opened up about how she feels as a mother. She said she was crying a few months ago and told Austin that she was “feeling inadequate to be the mother of my two beautiful children.”

Then, she included a quote that Austin shared with her and had her type it up in her phone notes. The quote reads:

“It’s not your job to create the perfect life for your kids. It is not your job to keep them happy all the time.
It is your job to be their mom in the good times, hard times, normal times, crazy times, sad times & great times. Show up. Be firm. Love much. And mother well.”

Fans accuse Austin of faking it.

On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics are talking about Joy-Anna’s new post. It looks like many of them find it cringey. One Duggar Snarker says, “How bad of a place do you have to be in to fabricate lies about your husband saying supportive & painfully fake clichés?”

Many are accusing the couple of faking this conversation. One fan writes, “I’ll take things Austin didn’t say for $200.”

Others are wondering how Austin came up with this quote.

As it turns out, Austin didn’t come up with this saying himself. It’s from an author named Rachel Marie Martin, who has written a couple of parenting books. The specific quote mentioned in Joy-Anna Forsyth’s post can also be found on Get Chip‘s list of co-parenting quotes.

In her post, Joy-Anna Forsyth doesn’t specifically state that this quote came directly from Austin. However, fans agree that it’s implied by the way she wrote her post.

So, do you think Joy-Anna Forsyth’s post makes it sound like her husband Austin wrote this quote himself? Do you find the post to be cringey? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more Duggar family updates.
