Fans of the F/V Northwestern, and Captain Sig and his daughter, Captain Mandy, will want to watch their new spinoff called The Viking Returns.
According to The Futon Critic, for the first time in 25 years, the Alaskan Red King Crab fishery shuts down. This triggers Captain Sig into action. He looks around to see what else is out there. Mandy just had a baby girl, and now he realizes that three generations need to live off of the family’s fishing profits.
Always proud of his Norwegian roots, it is no surprise that Sig looks to his homeland. In Norway, King Crab is an invasive species.
Sig decides to seize this opportunity and venture into this new fishing ground. Most of all, they are risking it all to go into the unknown. However, staying and watching the fishery shutdowns are not an option.

Heading out on this Norwegian adventure with Captain Sig Hansen, and his daughter, Captain Mandy Hansen is Clark Pederson, Mandy’s husband, and Captain Jake Anderson, who learned the ropes from Sig.
