‘Gotham’ Netflix Removal Date Confirmed
Popular crime drama series Gotham aired its final episode on April 25, 2019, with a memorable ending. With a total of 5 seasons and 100 episodes in its bag, the show garnered a 7.8/10 rating on IMDb and is a whopping 72 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. However, for fans who haven’t yet watched all the seasons, the show is currently streaming on Netflix. But, this might be changing soon.
When Will Gotham Leave Netflix US?
As per What’s On Netflix, Gotham will soon leave the streaming platform. All Netflix regions will see the show departing over the upcoming year. For Netflix US viewers, the series will depart from the platform in September 2022.

The Gotham series is created by Bruno Heller with James Gordon as the central character. It is a prequel to the Batman series that revolves around James’ journey as he rose through the ranks at Gotham PD. The show also highlights some of the critical villains and their origin stories that would later face off against the protagonist.
Netflix UK Was The First To Remove Gotham From Its Platform
Despite the fact that the series was produced by Warner Bros. Television, it aired on Fox in the US. Following that, Netflix purchased the right to globally stream the series on its platform. The series has been exclusive to the streaming platform in several regions. However, that is soon to end.

According to sources, Gotham will bid adieu to the streaming platform in the US in September 2022. Its departure from the platform comes about 3 years after the final season was added to Netflix in the United States. Gotham Season 5 was added to Netflix on September 30, 2019, and is slated to leave the platform in full on September 30, 2022.
A similar pattern was seen for the series for Netflix UK. The viewers in the UK saw the series removed from the platform in July 2022. It was the first region to remove the series. The notice stated that the last day to watch the series on Netflix was July 23, 2022. Three years ago, it was on July 24 that the final season was added to Netflix UK.
Netflix Canada Users Can Stream Gotham Till January 2023
Fans living in Australia have been slowly losing the series since 2021. Gotham Season 1 was removed from Netflix Australia in 2021, after which Seasons 2 to 4 were removed one after another, leaving just Season 5 for the viewers. Viewers in Canada can watch the series on Netflix for a bit longer. The licensing rights for Gotham in Netflix Canada aren’t due to expire before January 2023. In most regions, the series will leave the streaming platform by the end of 2023.

After Gotham is removed from the Netflix platform, Warner Bros. Television gets to decide who airs the show next. There is a chance it might be sold to another streamer. However, in most regions, it is believed that the series will be headed to HBO Max.
