7 Little Johnstons star Trent Johnston has dropped some big news on fans! The Johnston patriarch shared a couple of new videos and revealed to his social media followers what is coming up next. So, what’s the exciting news? Keep reading to get all of the details.
Trent Johnston drops exciting news on fans
On Instagram on Wednesday, Trent shared two new Reels with fans. In both Reels, he’s moving pretty fast and it’s unclear what exactly is going on. But he did add some important text to the videos, which has fans very excited.
One is of his yard and his house, while the second video is a close-up of his face.
In the first Reel, Trent wrote, “Cameras are back in two days! Gotta get cleaned up, no more time off…”
Then, he added the hashtag #Team7LJ, suggesting that his post is about 7 Little Johnstons.
Then, in another Reel, the 7 Little Johnstons star wrote, “Ready #Team7LJ. Set-S14-Rolling-Action!!!”

Based on Trent’s Reels, it sounds like filming is about to be underway! This is great news for fans who were hoping to continue keeping up with the Johnstons.
It’s worth noting that Trent mentioned Season 14, though Season 12 is just now airing on TLC. It’s unclear if he meant to say Season 13 or if filming is truly that far ahead. Either way, his posts make it seem like the show will be back for another season or two.
This isn’t official confirmation from the network, though, and a release date hasn’t been revealed. As we reported, Little People, Big World star Amy Roloff said that she’s currently filming for another season of her show, even though it hasn’t been renewed.
So, based on this information, just because the Johnstons are filming, it doesn’t mean they will definitely be coming back.
7 Little Johnstons fans are thrilled
In the comments sections of both of Trent’s new posts, fans are freaking out. Many of them are taking these posts as signs that the show will return to TLC for another season or two. One fan says, “Love your show. You all bring so much love & laughter. ❤️”
Someone else adds, “Yay!!!! I love your family! My favorite show!”
Hopefully, fans will soon get an official announcement about the future of 7 Little Johnstons!
