What Is Hallmark’s Game, Set, Love About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Taylor (Williams) is a former professional tennis player. When her mother passed away, she decided to retire so that she could be around for her father, David (Cross).
Now, she gets her tennis fix by teaching kids at the local club. However, her job gets upgraded. Her former doubles partner Ashley (Khoe) asks her to coach her and her new doubles partner Will (Harmon).
Will has a reputation. His career has a lot of issues due to his on-court antics. Tennis is a sport that requires a cool head, and Will lets his emotions out for everyone to see.
Although reluctant, Taylor finally agrees. At first, Taylor and Will clash. Things quickly change, as Taylor discovers that he has another side, and that is pretty great.
Things move fast when Ashley gets injured and Taylor now replaces her friend to double with Will in a tournament.
Moreover, the more time Taylor and Will spend together practicing, the more they learn that they are a perfect match.

Just watched this movie and loved it. Though some of the ideas are typical Hallmark, it was set in the different world and that gave it some extra pop, plus coming out when the Williams Sisters are again in the news made it very relevant to the present. Inter-racial romances are always interesting to me, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
