Whitney Way Thore Receives Heartbreaking News About Surrogate
TLC star Whitney Way Thore would absolutely love to become a mother. However, having a child isn’t always so easy. Whitney was hoping to explore surrogacy but recently received heartbreaking news.
Her friend Heather initially agreed to be her surrogate but is actually unable to help. So what will Whitney do instead?
Whitney Way Thore prepares to deal with more bad news
Fans couldn’t be happier to get new episodes of My Big Fat Fabulous Life. However, things aren’t quite going the way Whitney Way Thore wants them to go.
The TLC star’s mother is dealing with some pretty serious health conditions at the moment. Whitney does have a new boyfriend, but fans think she has lingering feelings for her ex.
As if that weren’t bad enough, Whitney Way Thore is about to get more bad news on Tuesday’s episode.
Since Whitney doesn’t believe she can have children of her own, she’s interested in pursuing surrogacy. But the friend she chose doesn’t think she can handle the challenge.
“For Whitney to ask me to be a surrogate for her is a huge honor,” Whitney’s friend Heather explains in the clip, obtained by PEOPLE. “For a surrogacy you want the very best case scenario. And my body simply isn’t.”
However, Whitney doesn’t want to trust a stranger to be a surrogate. So what will her fertility journey look like from here on out?
Is the TLC star giving up on her dreams of motherhood?
In the clip, Whitney’s friend Ashley asks the TLC star if she still wants to have children at all. Whitney does have a new French boyfriend and it would definitely be a big adjustment in their relationship.
“I don’t know, but now with my boyfriend in the picture I am kind of like…if I do it, I want to do it with him and with him on board, you know what I mean?” Whitney replies.
However, Ashley wasn’t exactly thrilled with that response. She definitely wants Whitney to look after her own needs and life goals, but worries that might all be on hold for the French boyfriend.
“He lives on another continent,” Ashley stated. “I don’t want Whitney to put her hopes on someone else and then have it be too late one day.”
Whitney Way Thore has frozen her eggs, so she does have options available to her. It’s just a matter of if and when she chooses to act. No matter what she chooses, fans hope she makes the right choices for her own life.
