7 Little Johnstons fans are not loving Amber and Trent Johnston’s latest moves. The parents are getting a lot of negative attention from their family’s fans. So, what did they post, and what are fans saying about it?
7 Little Johnstons fans have mixed feelings about the parents.
In general, it looks like TLC fans have mixed feelings about Trent and Amber. Because the Johnstons are in the public eye, they are subject to criticism at times. They sometimes get backlash on social media or in response to their family’s show.
Some fans love them, while others think they’re too nosy about their kids’ lives or too strict when it comes to parenting.
A preview for 7 Little Johnstons Season 12 reveals that Trent and Amber read through Jonah’s text messages with his girlfriend. After fans saw this, they were roasting Trent and Amber.
But now, another recent appearance has fans giving them a big thumbs down.

Ahead of the 7 Little Johnstons Season 12 premiere, TLC has been posting lots of videos about the Johnston family on social media. Recently, Alex and Emma Johnston appeared in a Reel.
Now, it’s Amber and Trent Johnston’s turn. On TLC’s Instagram page, the couple walked social media users through several dance moves for parents.
The dance moves in the video include being nosy, ironing, and driving the kids to school. You can see a few snaps from the video below.
While this might seem like a harmless, funny video, fans have a lot of negative things to say about it. One fan says, “I no longer watch this show because of them. They are just way too overbearing and controlling with their adult kids.”
Another adds, “Cringe. And being nosy…would be funny if they didn’t go through their kids phone already.”
One more 7 Little Johnstons fan comments, “No thank you. Their overbearing control is a big no no for me.”
Plenty of similar comments from fans are rolling in, too. It looks like this Reel was not a hit.

I don’t care at all for their parenting style, but I especially don’t like Trent’s obsession with sex and his macho attitude. It comes across as “short man” syndrome. He is just like my ex because, as Amber has said, he thinks he knows everything, which means he’s not teachable. Why did Amber think she could say that Jonah’s apartment was not going to look like a frat house? I do believe he’s an adult now and paying his own rent so it’s really none of her business!! They’re both an absolute mess!
