Chyler Leigh Is Starring In New Hallmark Drama
Hallmark’s The Way Home now has a second lead. On Tuesday, Deadline reported that Chyler Leigh will also be starring in their new time-travel drama. Leigh will portray MacDowell’s daughter in the series.
The Way Home is a drama that follows three generations of Landry women. Chyler Leigh will play Kat Landry, while Andie MacDowell is portraying matriarch Del Landry.
Lisa Hamilton Daly, the executive vice president of programming for Crown Media Family Networks is thrilled with the pairing.
Chyler Leigh and Andie MacDowell are the perfect mother-daughter pairing for our new series, The Way Home. We at Hallmark Channel cannot wait for her to grace our screens as a member of this cast.
Fans of Grey’s Anatomy know Chyler Leigh as Dr. Lexie Grey, while fans of Supergirl, The Flash, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow know Leigh as Alex Danvers.
IMDb Lists Two Familiar Names In The Way Home Cast
Surprisingly, IMDb already has The Way Home in their listings, and with more information. In addition to Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh’s names, they also have two names familiar to Hallmark viewers.
The first name is Natalie Hall (Fit For A Prince, Stalked By A Prince), a Hallmark fan favorite. According to the listing, she portrays Brooke. However, there is no information about her character.
The second name is another fan favorite, Kaitlin Doubleday (A Mrs. Miracle Christmas, Nashville). In The Way Home, she is listed as playing Tim. Again, no character information.
What Is The Way Home About?
What Is Hallmark’s The Way Home About? Years ago, a family tragedy propelled Kat Landry (Leigh) to move from her Canadian farm town, Port Haven.
During this time, she became estranged from her mother, Del (MacDowell). Kat now finds herself returning with a failed marriage and a job loss in her back mirror.
Kat and her daughter Alice return to the farm. Alice would rather be back home, while Kat thought that she would be welcomed back with open arms.
Now, the three generations of women find themselves on a journey, albeit surprising journey.
