‘The View’ Fans Flip Out Over Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s Return

The View fans are flipping out over Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s return. Some of them are threatening to boycott the daytime talk show once again. On Wednesday, August 3, the controversial co-host made her grand return.

The long-running programming celebrated its 25th anniversary. Some of its former hosts have made a return for one last call at the table. However, fans are not happy with the production’s latest decision.

This comes after new host Alyssa Farah Griffin made her debut last week. The former White House Correspondent for 45th president Donald Trump had a rough footing. Some fans think she’s too problematic and controversial for the series.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck returns to the morning talk show

The View fans weren’t happy to see Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s face on the Wednesday morning broadcast. Some of them were ready to throw their coffee at the screen. The former Survivor contestant appeared in lieu of The View’s 25th-anniversary special. She originally hosted the show from 2003 to 2013.

Elisabeth had a controversial run. It’s an impressive run since she was fired from her position after the show tried to move away from politics at the time. Elisabeth returned to the table alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Sunny Hostin. However, The View fans weren’t as excited as her co-hosts. They feel that she should’ve stayed fired.

Many fans are threatening to boycott The View over Elisabeth’s appearance. Most of them stormed Twitter to call out the show for bringing her back. This comes after they slammed Alyssa’s big debut last week. Suddenly, the new host isn’t as bad.

• “Ok. I’m out. I can’t stand her anymore.”

The View fans compare Elisabeth to Meghan McCain

Meghan McCain left the show last year. Since then, a series of conservative guest hosts are in the running to replace her. Meghan also caused controversy for her political commentary. However, one fan said, “she’s actually even worse than Meghan McCain.”

Another one wrote, “Meghan McCain on steroids” while another fan noticed that Elisabeth’s attitude was “extra disgusting.” Others called her “so childish” and “an embarrassment to the hosts.” The View announced Elisabeth’s appearance last week, so the fans weren’t caught off-guard.

She talked about her big return to the show. In a statement to People, she asked fans to “pray” for her. Elisabeth was also on the show to talk about her bestselling children’s book, Flashlight Night. She mentioned her firing from The View in her book Point of View: A Fresh Look at Work, Faith, and Freedom.
