Lindsie Chrisley Reveals Words Todd Shared That Healed Their Rift
During a recent episode of her podcast, The Southern Tea, Lindsie Chrisley opened up about the real reason she had reconciled her relationship with her father, Todd. Up until now, the Internet had all but assumed Lindsie and Todd had found their way back to each other because of the legal issues he and his wife Julie are currently facing. Turns out, however, Julie and Todd’s legal issues have nothing to do with Lindsie and Todd reconciling their father and daughter relationship. So, how did these two find their way back to each other? Lindsie Chrisley shares the real reason she and Todd are talking again
Lindsie kicked off the discussion on her podcast by making it clear Todd and Julie’s legal issues had nothing to do with her finding her way back to her father. “I can confidentially tell you there was no reconnection due to any legal reasons whatsoever.”
Turns out, it was actually her divorce from Will Campbell that opened a door back to her father. Sadly, Lindsie Chrisley did not tell her family she had planned to get a divorce before announcing it on Instagram. After all, she wasn’t exactly talking to them at the time.
She was later alerted to the fact that her father Todd had penned a beautiful message to her. At the time, however, she had him blocked on Instagram. So, she knew nothing about it until someone else shared it with her.
She recalled the sweet message from her father
Lindsie recalled the kind words her father had for her during this extremely troubling time: “After my divorce stuff had become public, my dad had posted, ‘I’m here, I love you, whatever’s going on in your life right now, I see it. I’m working things out for the good for you. My child, there is nothing that you can do or have done that would make me love you less.” She continued to recall his moving message:
‘I will try to protect you from anything and anyone who tries to harm you or your reputation. I’m stronger than depression and anxiety and braver than loneliness, and nothing will ever exhaust me. I promise you I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
She said as she continued to read his message: “‘I’m breathing a new wind into you and over you right now. Look for the favor and blessings that I’m sending you in this season your way because they are from me. I love you so much.'”
Lindsie Chrisley explained to her followers that she was so moved by the warm and comforting message her father penned that she seized an opportunity to reconnect with him. Wrapping up the conversation, she noted that all anyone really needed to take away from this was that her divorce really opened the door that allowed her and Todd to reconnect.
Lindsie Chrisley added that she wasn’t interested in discussing what her future holds with her father and her siblings. She, however, wanted it to be on record that she loved her family, her father, and her siblings.
