‘DWTS’: Derek Hough Suffers A Painful Facial Injury
Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough recently suffered a pretty serious facial injury. Many fans reasonably grew concerned about the judge. What happened in the first place?
Fortunately, it seems as if Derek will be all right. But he isn’t exactly thrilled about the way the injury happened. Keep reading to get the inside scoop.
Playtime gets a little too rough for Derek Hough and his pooch
It’s definitely been a big year for Dancing With The Stars judge Derek Hough. He finally proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Hayley Erbert. Fans just can’t get enough of their adorable antics online and are happy for the couple.
But into each life, a little rain must fall. And it seems like Derek suffered a pretty painful facial injury while at home.
Derek and Hayley are huge animal lovers and adopted several cats and dogs — all with their own unique quirks and personalities. It appears that one of the dogs likes to rough house a little too hard.
“She’s a Picasso,” Derek sarcastically captioned his Instagram video, revealing his injury.
“Show me the art, now show me the artist,” the words on the video read. Fans see Derek holding a bloody tissue up to his head in one frame. In the next frame, the wound is bandaged, then the camera cuts to one of Derek’s dogs. She wags her tail for the camera, then rolls onto her back to ask for belly rubs.
Many of other Derek’s other followers poked fun at the dancer for letting his dog get so wound up. Others wished him well and prayed for a successful recovery.
What does the future of DWTS look like for the judge?
There are still a lot of questions regarding Dancing With The Stars Season 31 at the moment. But Derek Hough confirmed he will indeed be part of the judges’ table again this year. Hopefully, his brush with his dog won’t leave any long-lasting scars.
All four judges are expected to return, as well as hostess Tyra Banks. But things will be a little different this year as Alfonso Ribeiro joins Tyra as her cohost.
