‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 31 Teases Casting Information

Dancing With The Stars fans are always eager to get the latest information regarding upcoming seasons. There are still a lot of questions surrounding Season 31, but the show recently teased that more information will be available soon enough.

In a matter of weeks, fans will know more about the pro dancers joining the cast as well as the celebrity contestants. If Dancing With The Stars doesn’t manage to pull in some great talent, the platform jump to Disney+ could really sink it once and for all.

When can fans learn more about the Dancing With The Stars Season 31 cast?

Dancing With The Stars has been a staple of Monday night television in the fall on ABC. But that’s not the case this year. After 30 seasons, Season 31 will live stream on Disney+ instead. Many long-time viewers aren’t at all happy about the platform shift, considering Disney+ is a paid subscription service. A lot of fans feel alienated and angry that they will have to sign up for a new streaming service or lose access to the show.

“Dancing With The Stars has entertained fans for 16 years on ABC, and we are excited to bring this beloved show exclusively to Disney+ as the platform’s first-ever live series,” a Disney spokesperson said earlier this year. “The show’s broad appeal, as well as the overwhelming popularity of its Disney-themed competition nights, make Disney+ the perfect home for Dancing With The Stars while continuing to expand our demographic reach.”

TV Line reports that the Season 31 cast will be revealed on Good Morning America on September 8, 2022. The Season 31 premiere will follow on September 19, 2022.

Right now, no one has been confirmed to be joining the cast. However, plenty of fans loved seeing NBA superstar Iman Shumpert take the Mirrorball Trophy home last year. Many fans would like to see more amateur dancers like him join the competition. It’s always really satisfying when the underdog comes out on top.

And what about the pro dancers?

Dancing With The Stars hasn’t made any official announcement about the pro dancers joining the cast yet either, but most have expressed interest in giving the show another try. Jenna Johnson and Peta Murgatroyd aren’t expected to join the cast this year due to their desires to start families. But many others confirmed they are already training, including Sharna Burgess who just gave birth in June.
