Katie Thurston Defends Madi Prewett’s Quick Engagement
It seems no matter what someone chooses to do there will always be those who disagree with it. This is proving true for Bachelor alum Madison Prewett. She announced her engagement to Grant Troutt yesterday. The two have not been dating very long. So, Madi is being criticized for rushing into the engagement. Bachelorette Katie Thurston became known in Bachelor Nation for standing up for others and also for what she believes in. During The Bachelor, Katie stood up for some of the women facing hard times on the show. It was part of what landed her The Bachelorette gig.
Now, Katie is defending someone once more. There are many who are criticizing Madison Prewett’s quick engagement with Grant Troutt. The couple has only been dating for nine months. Having been on the show and knowing how quickly relationships can form and work out for some, Katie jumped to Madi’s defense.
Katie went to Twitter to share her thoughts. She said, ‘Contestants get engaged after 6-8 weeks which really translates to even less time when you consider the actual time spent together. You don’t get to cheer on leads but shit on Madi. Happy for her! Congratulations to finding love your own way! #TheBachelorette”
Madi’s engagement
Madison went to Instagram to share the news that she is getting her happily ever after. While she’s only been dating Grant, who happens to be the heir to billions, for nine months, she is happy.
Madi has gushed over her relationship with Grant noting that he’s everything she’s ever wanted.

The big proposal took place in Palm Beach, Florida. Madi had a special dress she wanted to get engaged in. Until her mom and sisters showed her the dress she had no idea what was about to go down.
Grant pulled all the stops to make the proposal special for Madi. He had candles, flowers and a special bible engraved with her new name. Plus, the ring he gave her was spectacular and the ring of her dreams.
While the two have not announced an actual wedding date yet, they have said they want a short engagement.
Congrats to the happy couple as they begin this new chapter together.
