On her Instagram page on Monday, August 1, Amber shared some news with fans about two of her kids, Alex and Emma.
She noted that Monday was the first day of their junior year of high school. The proud mom snapped a photo of her two youngest children standing outside for their first day of school photo.
In the photo below, you can see Alex and Emma’s back-to-school outfits. Emma is wearing a hot pink top with flutter sleeves and a pair of jeans. Alex chose a henley shirt and khaki shorts. The teens are smiling for the camera as they prepare to head off to school.

In the comments section of Amber Johnston’s new post, fans are sharing their thoughts. Many think it’s too early for school to be starting.
One fan says, “School has started already there?” The fan adds that her own kids don’t begin school until August 17.

Some parts of Ga have already started school. We live in south Ga and my kids start on Friday. It’s completely normal here.
Yep, many metro ATL schools started Monday or will start within the next week. It’s normal in GA for early August start now. Years ago it was the end of August but it’s been moved up to accommodate for all the extra break weeks the school systems implemented.
What difference does it make when they start school? The south and Midwest tend to start early. Big deal! Chill out people!

A lot of kids in Georgia started this week and it’s not year round s hills. They get out mid-May. Most of the Floridia panhandle starts next Wednesday.
OMG. Really people. So school starts earlier in some states than others. You people must have very dull lives to be so upset about these kids starting school.
