Today has been a staple of weekday mornings for years. But an ongoing behind-the-scenes feud between anchors Savannah Guthrie and Hota Kotb has some viewers thinking about changing the channel.

Will the women be able to put aside their differences and save their morning show?

The Today cohosts can be cordial toward each other when they want to

Viewers turn into the Today show to get a bright start to their mornings. They want to see great onscreen chemistry and stimulating segments that entertain as well as inform. However, viewers might be getting more than they bargained for these days.

It’s no secret that Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie seem a little frosty towards one another during their segment. And fans definitely aren’t here for it.

Fans aren’t exactly sure what happened between the two cohosts, but most agree that the onscreen tension is getting to be very uncomfortable.

But it appears that Hoda and Savannah can put aside their differences and get along when they want to. The Sun recently pointed out that the women appeared very civil towards one another in a segment where they said goodbye to longtime NBC correspondent, Pete Williams.

During the segment, Savannah and Hoda sat together on the couch and seemed happy to be near one another. It could be that they were caught up in the moment as they said goodbye to Pete Williams, but fans agreed it was a much more positive viewing experience.

Can Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb just move on?

Both Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb have pretty big fanbases on Today. In a nutshell, no one really wants to see either woman lose their job. But if they can’t put their differences aside and squash the feud, that’s always a possibility.

According to Suggest, Jenna Hager Bush is actually at the root of the drama. Insiders allegedly told the publication that Jenna and Savannah are best friends and will pick on Hoda together. But when Savannah isn’t around, Jenna allegedly cozies up to Hoda and the two pick apart Savannah.

“[Jenna’s] totally two-faced. It’s so catty,” the insider allegedly told the publication. “It was total mean girl behavior and typical of how Jenna operates. Jenna seems to get a thrill out of stirring the pot between these two.”

No matter what’s really going on behind the scenes, Today viewers just want the drama to go away once and for all. Have you noticed the ongoing tension between Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie? Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. I went to cbs for news not soap opera. But I did this before when it was Savannah and junk tv. Miss nbc when Matt was there.

  2. Sick of the whole Today show. It is impossible to hear anything any guest has to say because of all the comments and interruptions from the hosts.

  3. Get rid of Savannah!’ She’s too snoody and acts like she’s better than Hoda. She thinks she’s the best and she’s not!’
    Hoda is as the best

  4. The Today show has lost it’s quality….everything is a joke or social media driven….
    They need journalists not personalities!!

  5. I quit watching during the election. Savannah loves to interrogate anyone she interviews as if they are on the witness stand. However, after Kelly&Ryan I do go back and watch Hoda!! Maybe put Savanah on the nightly news. I have the perfect anchor for her position, Alex W on news 15 Lafayette LA!!

  6. I quit watching during the election, Savanah interrogates whenever she interviews as if they are on the witness stand. She would be best on the nightly news. I watch CBS and then go back and watch Hoda!! I have the perfect replacement for Savannah, Alex Worstell, Fox 15 Lafayette, Louisiana!!
