Rachel Lindsay Feels No Obligation To Share Marriage Publicly
Rachel Lindsay is a well-known part of Bachelor Nation, however, she doesn’t think that means her relationship is free for all. She keeps things private and is very open about how she feels about fans asking about her relationship all the time.
Lindsay met Bryan on her season of The Bachelorette. The connection between them became obvious to fans watching. In the end, they were engaged. That doesn’t mean Lindsay thinks she owes fans a look into her life at all times. Several couples from Bachelor Nation do share everything on social media, but she prefers to keep her personal life away from the public.
What Did Rachel Lindsay Say About Her Relationship?
Rachel Lindsay wrote about keeping her relationship private on her website. Fans ask her two questions about her personal life the most. According to US Weekly, Rachel says the question she’s asked the most is when they are going to have babies.
The second thing she’s asked the most about is Bryan’s whereabouts. Rachel wrote, “Let me be frank, Bryan is none of your business.” She then said she was half joking, but not really. It seemed like she wanted to be clear with fans. She said her “contractual public story ended on August 7th, 2019.” After Bryan and she were married, she said they were in control of their relationship.
She said reality television sets up a world that causes your relationship to fail. Destined to fail, however, they beat the odds and came out better on the other side. Once they were out of the public’s scrutiny, they could build a strong relationship. She acknowledged it was a natural thing for people to want to know what was going on with them.
She Doesn’t Want To Worry About Keeping Up Appearances
Rachel Lindsay doesn’t think social media is a realistic look at people’s relationships and she didn’t want to fall into a pattern of sharing just positive things with fans. Rachel said, “I remember at the beginning of our relationship, we found ourselves concerned about how we were acting in public.” She said that put a lot of pressure on them to do what people wanted.
Bryan and Rachel have a long-distance marriage which they’ve gotten criticism for. Rachel didn’t want to share that part of her relationship with fans either. The time they spent together was important, and the speculation about their relationship would just get in the way of them enjoying it. Lindsay said they’ve grown a lot together as a couple.
First, they took time to nurture their relationship, staying engaged for two years. This allowed them time to really know one another. She said they’re in a good place with a new house.
Rachel said, “We have our dogs, kids are in our future as well. We just got a lot of great things going on.”
