Mama June: Road to Redemption has dominated Friday nights for the past few months. However, it may appear to be on earlier this evening with no new episode scheduled. So, what’s going on with the popular reality series revolving around June Shannon and her daughters Pumpkin and Alana Thompson? Read on to find out why there is no new episode on tonight.

No New Mama June Tonight, Why?

Last Friday night, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird was in for the fight of her life. Her mother, June had already signed away the custody rights to Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. Alana had been living with her big sister, Pumpkin since 2019. Pumpkin assumed June would fight harder to keep her youngest child but she did not. She actually fought harder not to have to pay child support. In June’s mind, signing those papers meant that Pumpkin was adopting Alana. Therefore, she would have no fiscal responsibility to Pumpkin. The court also needed Sugar Bear’s signature which he gave for the sake of his child.

At the same time, June and her new boyfriend, Justin headed to LA. She wanted to see if she could get a revision to her weight loss surgery. The doctor told her she had to work on her lifestyle choices. Yet they were also there so Justin could visit a dentist. June wanted to fix his smile as he had struggled with it for so long. Over at Pumpkin’s patch, she already knew she was pregnant for the third time but now she and her husband Josh Efird learned something new. They were having twins so this changed everything.

At the end of the episode, there was a long montage of what had transpired afterward. Mama June and Justin got married in March while Pumpkin got sole custody in April. The child support was ordered to be $800/month starting May 1st. Finally, Pumpkin’s twins were born in May, as well. They had a boy and girl, Sylus and Stella. So, when will a new episode air?

The Next Episode Air Date Is…

As of now, this season of Mama June: Road to Redemption is over. In fact, it is unknown if the show will even return. According to reports from The Sun and other outlets, Pumpkin and Alana may have their own spinoff. They took a family trip to California earlier this month. It was partly for fun but they also did some business. There was a meet and greet and a rumored production meeting. So, what will take its place? Another guilty pleasure, Life After Lockup.

Usually, when Love After Lockup ends, the spinoff follows but this was not the case this time around. Some familiar faces are Amber and Puppy, Daonte (this time with Lindsey), and Brittany and Marcelino. It looks to be fairly explosive especially between Shawn and Sara when Destinie returns so get ready for that.

The new season of Life After Lockup returns tonight on WeTV. Will you miss Mama June? Let us know in the comments.

  4. Pumpkin’s Patch needs the cute series to have the $$$ so that they can thrive as a family. June screwed them up! She absolutely does Not need to be enabled and payed! Those children All deserve something good, blessed and positive out of this mess. This also goes for DoeDoe! She has suffered and has been more of a mother to Pumpkin than June! They are a surviving blended family!
