‘The View’ Fans Thank Sunny Hostin For Shutting Down Newbie Alyssa Farah Griffin

'The View' Fans Applaud Sunny Hostin For Shutting Down Alyssa Farah Griffin

The View fans are still in shock over ABC’s hiring decision. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Alyssa Farah Griffin took over Meghan McCain’s seat after she quit last year. The network hired President Donald Trump’s former communications director.

Though the host they hire is conservative in their views, fans were hoping for someone who isn’t controversial. They couldn’t believe the network didn’t announce their decision a few weeks or days ahead. The daytime talk show just dropped the news just a day prior.

Some were in shock to see Alyssa sitting in that seat on Wednesday, July 27. They called for a boycott. Now, they’re thanking Sunny Hostin for shutting the new girl down. Find out why.

Alyssa Farah Griffin joins The View

The View got a major cast shakeup this week. Alyssa Farah Griffin joined the long-running talk show as the new permanent co-host and conservative political commentator. She is said to bring an alternative view to the show. On Thursday’s broadcast, the co-hosts took part in the current “Hot Topics” segment.

One of those topics touched on the politicians reaching a deal on a climate change, healthcare, and tax bill called the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. The co-hosts shared their thoughts on the bill. Alyssa Farah Griffin was ready to share her point of view. She started by saying that she likes moderates because they’re the ones who get the job done.

However, she had a concern about the bill. She admitted that there’s an economic decline, but the Senate doesn’t want to come out and say that. Alyssa said that the White House and Senate Democrats are being “too cute for a half.” She then said that she feels the Inflation Reduction Act is only going to raise taxes.

Joy Behar interrupted Alyssa and informed her that “Corporations only and people who make over $400,000” will feel the brunt of the tax hit. Alyssa argued that corporations will put that money back into the people’s pockets.

Sunny Hostin argues with Alyssa

Sunny Hostin wasn’t feeling the new The View co-host. She turned to Alyssa and said that corporations take most of the profits and keep them to themselves. The View audience cheered for Sunny as she corrected Alyssa. However, Alyssa tried to explain her “fears” about the new bill.

“You know this never works. Republican economy policy never works to make wealthy people richer,” Sunny interrupted her and said as the audience continued cheering.

“Respectfully, right now. My family is very middle class,” Alyssa explained. “Groceries they can’t afford. They’re filling their gas tanks halfway and not all of that is on Joe Biden, but the economy is not looking good under democrats right now.”

The new co-host fears that this will “lead to more unemployment if you’re taxing corporations higher.” Joy reminded Alyssa that “the air we breathe is more important.” Sara Haines tried to play the mediator and stop everyone from arguing. She wanted to give her input, but they carried on arguing.

The View fans cheer on Sunny Hostin

The View fans took to Twitter to share their reaction to the debate. Most of them sided with Sunny. They thanked her for shutting down Alyssa. Others think the new co-host needs to educate herself on political matters.

  • “#TheView Thank you, Sunny. Educate Alyssa Farah. Thank a Democrat as well for all of this.”
  • “Ok, Alyssa. Bye!”
  • “WTH Is Alyssa talking about?”
  • “As long as Alyssa is on, we won’t be watching.”
  • “Exactly Sunny! You tell her!”
  • “Thank you Sunny and Sara for just jumping in and stopping Alyssa with her standard BS GDP talking points. Do not let her get away with the lies.”

  1. She was not the best choice. I don’t remember her name but there was someone with light brown hair and skin. She was the best guest host the had. I do believe that all the co hosts should get along despite their differences. And WHY in hell are they bringing Hasselbeck back for a week?

  2. Hope this is a joke Alyssa Farrah is ridiculous!
Ana was intelligent and funny ! and can see both sides of an issue!

Cannot believe ABC hired this one full time as permanent host.

I’ve watched since Day 1 ! —More than 25 years! You have had some wankey republiCONS but this one is the worst! I can’t watch her, I can’t listen to her !
Sorry, you ‘ve lost me while she is on!

Don’t you think It’s time give up on the crazy, radical conservative spot ? Ugh

  3. Personally I like hearing the opposing viewpoints although they can have the effect of raising my blood pressure a bit. If all you listen to are opinions that confirm the opinions and beliefs you already hold you aren’t forced to think and learn. I’m not condoning the spreading of “alternative facts”, because in reality they don’t exist. But SOME things are subjective.
