Nayte Olukoya Makes Big Move, Addresses Dating Rumors
Nayte Olukoya and Michelle Young of The Bachelorette are broken up, but that hasn’t stopped people from being interested in what he’s doing. The couple got engaged when Nayte won Michelle’s season and for a while, everything was wonderful. The sweet teacher and Nayte made plans to move in together and start their life.
After some time, the two decided they weren’t meant to be together and broke off their engagement. A source said Nayte is living with another contestant Rodney Mathews in LA now. He’s looking at getting into modeling while doing tech sales. There have been rumors about both Michelle and Nayte moving on since the split. Read on to see what Nayte had to say about them.
Nayte Olukoya Addressed The Rumors
A lot of Bachelor stars like Nayte Olukoya move to LA after being on the show. According to Us Weekly, the source also said, “he’s enjoying the summer, getting to spend time with friends and getting situated in L.A.”
Nayte has been linked to another stay from the franchise recently, Deandra Kanu. He had given her his necklace at a party and fans ran with it. The source said there wasn’t anything going on, he just gave her the necklace as a “friendly gesture.” They said he’s just happy being single for now.
They’ve Not Said A Lot About The Breakup
Nayte Olukoya and Michelle haven’t said much about the breakup, but they have both acknowledged it was hard. Nayte said on Instagram instead of moving to Minnesota as he planned, “plans changed as we decided there was no need to rush anything and get to know each other on a deeper level.”
He said they thought since “the love was there, everything would fall into place naturally and in its own time.” Olukoya said, “we tried, it didn’t work.”
Young spoke on the Almost Famous podcast, but she also didn’t say much. She said, “I will say this is not something that I foresaw and I’ll leave it there.” As we reported, she’s just working on healing from it. She said, “breakups suck. Breakups are awful. They hurt, right? And I think what’s so difficult is that it sometimes feels like it’s not in your control.”
Young went on to say you can’t speed up time, you just have to take it day by day.
While fans aren’t really entitled to know what happened in their relationship, they remain curious about their love lives. Nayte said, “everyone grieves differently and everyone is sad.”
