‘On Patrol: Live:’ Ways To Watch Without Reelz

On Patrol: Live: Ways To Watch Without Reelz [Reelz | YouTube]

On Patrol: Live premiered on Friday, July 22. However, it wasn’t off to a perfect start. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, viewers were met with a black screen for 15 minutes. Most of them took to Twitter by storm to air their grievances. Live PD Nation quickly became On Patrol Nation and they already want to make their voices heard.

The technical snafu made it one of the top trending topics on Twitter in the US. However, it won’t command the ratings that Live PD did on A&E. It became the No. 1 show on the cable network. Like A&E, Reelz is available on cable but it’s not as widely available.

Some viewers may not even know what Reelz is. Here are some ways to watch On Patrol: Live without the need for the channel.

What is On Patrol: Live?

In 2020, A&E canceled Live PD. Two years later, the show returned to a new network with a new name. Live PD has been rebooted into On Patrol: Live. Dan Abrams returned as the host alongside panelist Sean “Sticks” Larkins. It also includes input from Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson.

Like its predecessor, it follows police departments in seven major counties. Live PD was one of the most-watched cable shows in the country. Both the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests and the murder of George Floyd led to its cancelation. The show transitioned into the new series called On Patrol: Live, which will air Fridays and Saturdays on Reelz.

How to watch the Live PD reboot for free

Most fans can get their fix by watching the first episode of On Patrol: Live with a 5-day free trial of DIRECTV Stream. At the time of this article, there are only five streaming services that offer live streaming. That means you can catch On Patrol: Live as it airs live on cable TV.

You can access On Patrol: Live through Reelz with Android, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, and Web. However, the only way to watch the show is through direct access to DIRECTV Stream, Sling TV, and Philo. As previously mentioned, you can get a free trial with DIRECTV Stream, and after that plans start at $69.99 per month and up.

Philo has a free seven-day trial. From there, it’s only $25 per month. Or, you can get 50% off your first month of Sling TV for just $17.50. From there, prices start at $35 per month.

Can you stream On Patrol: Live on Hulu?

Live PD Nation used to be able to stream new episodes of Live PD on Hulu Live TV. Unfortunately, that’s not the case with On Patrol: Live. Since new episodes are on Reelz, it’s not available on the streaming service. This makes this show even more limited to its fanbase.

On Patrol: Live also isn’t available on Amazon Prime, Fire TV, Roku, YouTube TV, or any other service. You can also find out if you have access to Reelz. Go to the official website here and enter your zip code to see which providers offer the channel in your area. As always, you can always call your cable provider and let them know you want Reelz.

  1. Reelz TV wasn’t prepared for the number of viewers that they had with this show. It was a mistake to remove it from the air in the first place and now more viewers will watch it. The selection of Counties is lacking (due to department cooperation). As always, Richland County is a fine choice. They should have Garo (sic) back on the show if he is still with the department.

  2. Miserable choice to put it on REELZ. It might be worth ten bucks a month, but not for the cost of a cable subscription. I was really looking forward to it’s return, but now I’m just very disappointed.

  3. This just sucks. We don’t have Reelz & I am not paying $6.99 a month for it either. I guess you will lose viewers

    1. HOLY CARP!! Is that why I can’t watch it! I signed up for the free 1 week trial on Prime and thought maybe I was losing my mind! That chanel is not worth the $2 after the trial! Cancelling now…..

  4. I don’t become too liberal who used to be the best show going but now a man with drugs guns don’t go to jail they’re trying to cater to the black I will never watch the show again they can’t keep it right

  5. It is so sad that now you have to pay so much money to watch tv. I come from a time when all tv was free. You never had to pay a crazy monthly fee to watch anything. You did not have to subscribe to different packages to watch one show. Every one has there hand out, the richer want to get richer, it has turned this world to crap & it will only get worse. I am very happy I lived during the time I did because this world really sucks now. Young people have no idea how good it was in the 50s & 60s. I watched this show every week, now I would have to buy a package just to watch this program, I do not think so. I hope the rich get their KARMA.

  6. I loved PD Live and stopped watching A&E after they took it off.
I am enjoying On Patrol, but costs have forced us to decide to discontinue Dish after our latest commitment is over next month. We will not get into another cable or satellite service.
If Amazon Prime or Samsung TV Plus do not carry it (Samsung has a different version of Reelz, which is all basically gossip about dead celebrities), then I will miss the On Patrol gang.
It’s sad that the show has to suffer because viewers can’t/won’t pay the high cost the providers are asking.

  7. Switched from Cable to Streaming cause of cost.
Now I switched back to cable cause Streaming got just as high.
Now to watch Live PD (On Patrol) I have to buy Reelz at $6.99 /month.
    What the Hell?
