Amy Roloff Reveals Truth Behind Farm Negotiations With Jeremy
Amy Roloff dropped a bit of a bombshell on LPBW fans about her son, Jeremy, yesterday. The bombshell was in regards to Jeremy Roloff trying to purchase a portion of Roloff Farms from his father Matt. The TLC personality explained that Jeremy and his wife Audrey really wanted to buy a chunk of the property. They were pretty passionate about it. The reason why they ultimately didn’t buy it, however, is the bombshell that shocked fans to their cores.
Amy Roloff drops bombshell: What really happened
According to Amy Roloff, Jeremy was VERY interested in buying from his father. During her recent live stream, she explained that Jeremy actually approached Matt multiple times to try and make a deal with his father. It wasn’t just a one-and-done situation the way things played out with Zach. Unfortunately, Matt hiked the price up significantly compared to what he bought the property from Amy Roloff for. Even with what Matt considered to be a generous family discount, Amy felt that none of their children could really afford what Matt wanted them to pay.
During her live stream, Amy Roloff recalls sitting down with Jeremy. He was pretty close to making a deal with his father. Buying from his father, however, would have cost Jeremy and Audrey nearly everything they had. Amy explained that she told Jeremy it was way too much money for him to be dropping. And, he had a family with several children to think about.
So, Audrey and Jeremy toured other properties until they found something else they loved that was more reasonably within their budget.
The size was also an issue
Amy Roloff and her friend Lisa also call attention to the fact that Matt did NOT turn around and sell the same chunk of property he bought. He shaved it down and wanted to sell one of his children a little less than half of what he bought from Amy. Lisa implied that neither Zach nor Jeremy were very happy with the size of the property being dialed back while the price skyrocketed.
According to Lisa, Matt Roloff claimed he dialed back the size of the property simply because he didn’t think either of his boys could handle it. Both Amy and Lisa, however, found the argument perplexing as it shouldn’t matter to Matt what the new owner does with their property.

I am totally disgusted by Matt roloff and his inability to come to an agreement with his sons to buy some of the property. He always said throughout the making of the show that he was hoping the boys would be interested in carrying on his legacy when they were older and now they are and he is going above and beyond to keep it from happening. It has nothing to do with whether he thinks his boys can handle it. There’s something behind all this that we don’t know and he’s not telling. Shame on Matt. I think he is enjoying being difficult and he’s hoping that he can lean on his popularity as a TV personality to get more than maybe his property is worth. But I don’t want to hear him say anything about it being a shame that his grandchildren will not be growing up with the farm as their playground because of the farm being bought by someone outside the family.
I THINK THAT MOM AND DAD SHOULD HAVE TALKED WITH THEIR CHILDREN WHEN AMY DECIDED SHE DID NOT WANT TO LIVE THERE.MAYBE ONE OF THEM WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IT.ROLOFF FARM WASN’T MUCH WHEN MATT BOUGHT IT.IT MADE MONEY WHEN IT’S HE BUILT ATTRACTION’S. THE PUMPKIN PATCH AMY’S SALSA ALL BROUGHT MONEY.THEN TV CAME MORE MONEY.AMY HAS CHRIS AND MATT HAS CARYN THEIR CHOICE. THEY WILL WORK IT OUT THEMSELVES.I DON’T LIVE WITH THEM NEVER DID.I WISH THEM WELL AND FIND THEIR HAPPINESS AGAIN.
I truly think that Matt should have made a will so that each of his kids would have had a piece of the farm. From that he could have offered to sell the rest to each of them. Geez 93 acres of land!

Matt’s a piece of work ! He led Amy to believe that the farm would stay in the family and she let him have her half cheap because of this !
I don’t understand why Matt owes his kids anything if Amy wants it to happen why didn’t she take her money that she got from Matt and give it to her kids and buy the place it seems to me Matt worked awful hard for that his whole life and he supposed to just give everything away and Amy takes her money and walks away to

Matt worked the farm until his kids were old enough to do and its not Matts place to say is his kids could handle it or not.Matt just wanted the money so upped the price knowing his kids couldn’t buy it he is a greedy ole man that will pay in the end you just watch Caryn will find away to get it all. And Amy probably would have bought it for her kids but Matt promised it to the kids thats why he even screwed Amy out of what she could’ve got him for .

Matt never worked that farm…he rode around on mule and pointed his finger and at his higher help! His kids were raised by Amy…he was never around. He was always too busy for his family. He always preached that the farm would stay in the family. Until the market made him money hungry. To bad Amy didn’t sit on it awhile longer…she got skrewed from Matt also!

The only advice will be he better not get married without a prenuptial agreement.
I think that who ever buys that part of the farm is going to have problems with Matt no matter what. I know I would not want to live there around him.
Why didn’t Amy sell her property to one of the boys instead of selling it to Matt? It seems like that would have solved the problem.
Matt is all about money, and he is showing his true colors. Family comes in second place I guess.
Shame on matt his boys should mean more to him then money he should give it to family to keep it going for grand kids dont see how he cant just sell it to strangers family grew up here If he does sell to strangers he will regret it

Matt cheated on Amy with Caryn,I don’t think that means they chose each other. Amy and Chris came together on their own,not hurting the family in the process.

Did Amy leave all those replies? GET REAL! Matt has been MORE than fair with Amy!! I think she has and ALWAYS will REGRET asking Matt for a divorce!! I would kill to have an ex be so giving to me! If I were Matt I would Cut ALL Ties with Amy & Chris, they’re just vulture’s waiting to swoop in and grab that farm!
I pray Matt has been smart enough to redo his will & add Caryn to it and keep Amy out!
