‘American Idol’: Noah Thompson Makes Exciting Announcement
Noah Thompson won the American Idol 20th season in a shocking turn of events. Now, Noah has announced that he has a new single coming out this month based on one song he performed on the show.
The final seven singers on American Idol were all talented, but Noah appeared to have the least chance of winning based on pure talent. However, with American Idol voters, being a small-town country singer goes a long way over the bigger voices of his rival singers.
The young country singer ended up beating out HunterGirl and Leah Marlene in the American Idol finals, and while he had the least experience in writing his own songs, he seems ready to put his music out there for the world.
Noah Thompson has a new single coming out
Noah Thompson revealed on his Instagram account he has a new single coming out on July 29. The song is called “Stay.” Fans will recognize the significance of the song based on the fact he sang it twice on American Idol this past season. Originally a song by Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko, Noah wanted to perform it to show his versatility.
Noah first performed it earlier in the season during Hollywood Week. After singing country music songs, he wanted to sing this to show he was more than just another country singer. It also wasn’t the first time. There is a TikTok video of Noah singing the song for his girlfriend from before he ever appeared on American Idol.
As with the TikTok video and his American Idol performances, this will be a country music version of “Stay.” This will be Noah’s second single released. His first song, “One Day Tonight,” was one Noah professionally recorded during the show. It reached number one on the iTunes country music charts. There is a link in his Instagram post that shows fans can pre-save the new release on Spotify. They can also pre-add it to Apple Music right now.
Noah Thompson also working on an original song
Noah Thompson didn’t write “One Day Tonight” and “Stay” is a cover. However, many fans want to see Noah release some new original music. The good news is that he is working on it.
Earlier in July, Noah released a video on Instagram where he played a new song that he was working on called “On the Outside.” One thing that Noah has shown is that he is not as secure about his talent as others. The American Idol winner wanted to know if his fans thought it was worth continuing on. The good news for Noah is his Instagram followers loved it. Most of them pushed for him to keep working on his own music.
