Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young know exactly what it’s like to be the lead on The Bachelorette. What they don’t know is how it feels to share the spotlight with a co-Bachelorette like Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. Each of these Bachelorettes had their own journey until this point.

Michelle is going through a break-up with her winner at this moment while Becca is celebrating being engaged to Thomas Jacobs. The two met on Bachelor in Paradise. Becca also had to go through heartbreak more than once before finding her happily ever after. So, they can bring more than one perspective to recapping this season.

The two leads are already shaking things up with the way things are going. They didn’t feel like they got enough time with the men so they canceled the rose ceremony. They still didn’t lead anyone on. If there were hard nos, they got sent home.

What Did Becca Kufrin And Michelle Young Say About The First Episode?

Becca Kufrin and Michelle Young had some thoughts about the first show with Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia. According to Bachelor Nation Becca said this is the first time the first rose ceremony has ever been canceled. Both of the women asked Jesse Palmer if they could do things a little differently. He told them they can do whatever they want.

Michelle said this is something that happens every season, but she agreed never the first one. It was unexpected. Michelle said, “you do not get to talk to everybody and that is usually just with one lead. So imagine having two Bachelorettes and trying to talk to both of them.” Young said she gets it and respected the choice.

Becca didn’t agree with her. She said the first one is special. She said, “I feel like a part of that was kind of taken away from the men. It is a rite of passage.” One thing about the first night is both women thought more of the men would kiss them. When they had one-on-one time with the guys only one guy for each woman made the move.

The Former Bachelorette Did Respect Sending Home The No’s

Becca Kufrin didn’t agree with canceling the first rose ceremony, but she did respect that they took the men outside and sent them home. She said, “They didn’t have to stand in front of the remaining 29 men.” The guys sent home included a set of twins and a magician, the two women just couldn’t see any kind of connection with them.
