Mama June’s Wedding: What Did Pumpkin & Alana Know?
Mama June Shannon had a surprise wedding to Justin Stroud back in March. Though fans were visibly in shock, what about her kids? She has said that they have met Justin and that they are fine with him. Yet, how did her two youngest Pumpkin and Alana really feel when they got the news of the elopement? Read on to find out more.
Mama June Sneakily Finds Love
Last summer, June left her toxic relationship with Geno Doak. Though they started out very promising, it did not work out so well. Drugs, arrests, and rehab left June broke and disconnected from her family. Her youngest daughter Alana went to go live with her older sister Pumpkin when June was getting herself together. Finally, leaving Geno was the key to getting things back on track, and Mama June fixing her mistakes. Unfortunately, that did not last as her kids knew she could not be without a man for too long.
Soon enough, she was on her way to Alabama to meet a twenty-four-year-old man she had met online. Jordan was in recovery and she alleged that he needed her help to stay on the straight and narrow. Right after, she spent 50K on him but he went and got engaged to someone else. Luckily, he had a friend named Justin who clicked really quick with June. He was also in recovery and has just been removed from a rehab center.
She soon brought him back to Georgia and, in June fashion, suggested that they live together. Their new home was bought down the street from Pumpkin but June told no one. Justin was kept a secret until Pumpkin and Jessica popped up and surprised them but more secrets were waiting for them.
Here Comes The Bride…
In March, on their six-month anniversary, Mama June and Justin tied the knot in a low-key ceremony. It was not actually revealed until the end of May but was a shocker nonetheless. Now, June’s daughters Pumpkin and Alana are speaking out about their mother’s whirlwind surprise nuptials. In an exclusive interview with E! News, they opened up, saying that they were completely in the dark.
“We didn’t know about it. I actually got a receipt in my PO Box that said she had applied for a marriage certificate. Then I asked her about it just recently. She denied it. And then eventually she was like, ‘Oh, I got married’ and we were very, very shocked,” shared Pumpkin. Alana actually thought her mom was somewhat jaded when it came to marriage. Things did not fare so well after she had her commitment ceremony to Alana’s dad Sugar Bear.
Yet Alana noted that her mom has changed a lot so she is doing things differently. Finally, for the record, Pumpkin would have liked to be there for the wedding. “If she feels like we don’t need to be a part of that, then it is what it is.” Hopefully, they can all celebrate in the future.

She should have a least told them. She says she’s changed but she’s still lying about things. Know wonder the girls don’t trust her. And pumpkin needs to stop thinking she’s going to or Josh might leave her. He’s had enough of June lying to everyone
