What Is Hallmark’s Big Sky River About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, “Looking to take a break from New York City and place some real distance between herself and her ex-husband, Tara Kendall (Vaugier) books a summer rental in Parable, Montana. The small, rural town endeared itself to Tara as a young girl and she credits her time in Parable for her love of horses and horseback riding. Sheriff Boone Taylor (Smith) has finally found his footing after losing the love of his life. Boone is kind to his new neighbor, but he can’t deny that there’s something very special about Tara and he’d like her to stay for more than just one summer. When Tara’s stepdaughter reaches out for help, the painful realities of real-life step on any dreams of life in the country. That is, unless Tara can take care of those she loves and herself, all at once.”

The premiere of Big Sky River is on Sunday, August 7, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Encore showings include Tuesday, August 9, at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 11, at 9 p.m., Sunday, August 14, at 5 p.m., and Saturday, August 27, at 3 p.m., all times Eastern.
Kavan Smith Shares BTS Photos Of Fun On Set
When Calls The Heart fans know how much fun Kavan Smith is on screen and off. Moreover, he shared a few BTS photos of the fun he had on set with Emmanuelle Vaugier.
On one Instagram post, he wrote, “So much fun making this little movie with @emmanuellevaugier can’t wait for peeps to see it. #BigSkyRiver No laughs were had in the making of this movie…”
In another post he wrote, “I’m not sure if this is a cowboy rom com or a zombie flick. Either way hope you tune in. Aug 7 9pm.” The You Had Me At Aloha star shared a rather creepy photo of him and Emmanuelle with shovels, and a dig site.
Lastly, Kavan shared a photo of himself in a cowboy hat, amid a pasture. He confessed, “When I told my kids I was playing a cowboy they answered, “You? A cowboy?” Kids what are you gonna do? Tune in despite my kids.”
