The July 6 Premiere of Big Brother 24 introduced fans to new and enthusiastic houseguests. By now, fans have also started picking their favorites. These are the faces you will be watching all summer long. After the intro videos, the housemates were quickly asked to compete in several challenges.

Daniel Durston Becomes Head Of Household For The Week

These fun challenges involved sticking earrings to their faces, hanging on T-shirts, and answering questions. All these challenges led to Daniel Durston taking charge as the Head of the Household. Now, Daniel holds a lot of power this week. However, he isn’t the only housemate who has to make significant decisions on Big Brother 24 premiere night.

Joe Pucciarelli had the ‘Lucky Ticket’ granting him access to a backstage pass. As per Big Brother Access, this unique backstage pass is accompanied by a few perks but also some possible drawbacks. Joe is safe from this week’s eviction. However, he cannot compete in the week’s challenges and doesn’t have the right to vote on eviction night.

He also has the power to choose any three players that will join him backstage. In a bid to play fair, he picked three players that performed the worst in the premiere day’s HOH challenges. These selected players were Brittany Hoopes, Alyssa Snider, & Paloma Aguilar. Being a part of the Backstage, they won’t be nominated this week. However, they also won’t be able to compete in any competitions or vote against a contestant this week.

BB24 Host Julie Chen Warns Housemates

Moreover, BB24 host Julie Chen did warn these three that they might not be safe this week, unlike Joe. Viewers then learned that they could vote for one of these three contestants via the CBS website. Even after a lot of revelations were made, the viewers & houseguests both were still confused about what was happening.

They couldn’t tap into the rules associated with this backstage twist added to the CBS show. However, the houseguests did get some clarification yesterday. Alyssa, Paloma, and Brittany cannot be nominated either as an initial nominees or even as a re-nominee. These three cannot partake in voting someone out of the house for this week. Moreover, they also have no right to compete in the Power of Veto Competition.

Time To Vote For Your Favorite BB24 Houseguest?

Any of these three contestants can go home except the one who gets the highest votes from fans. So, we can expect that the Thursday episode will have a live eviction with twists that makes the houseguests more vulnerable. However, we might have to wait for a week before we know more about these twists. For now, we might not be seeing Joe, Paloma, Brittany, or Alyssa in the nomination chair this week while Daniel declares his nominations.
