‘Young & Pregnant’ Preview: Brianna Says Potty Training Takes F*ing Effort
Brianna Jaramillo from Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant recently moved out of her mom’s place, and things look much better. However, tensions between the mom and daughter duo haven’t yet settled down. In the latest MTV sneak peek of the Tuesday episode, tensions are elevated as Brianna’s mother, Jessica, insists that she participate more in her son Braeson’s potty training sessions.
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant Brianna Is Thankful For Her Mother
As the reality star visits her mother’s house to pick up her son, she admits that she does appreciate her help with Braeson. However, this admission doesn’t relieve the tension in the air. When asked how her grandson is doing at the daycare, the 22-year-old describes how well her son has been doing. However, she admits he has been struggling with the details of using a toilet.

During the conversation, Brianna also mentioned that her son has been off track only with pooping. She added that the child intentionally holds it until the pull-up is on. To this, Jessica reacts that the reality star needs to be more proactive with her kid’s potty training requirements.
However, this suggestion doesn’t go down well with Brianna. Realizing her annoyance, her mother mentions how the doctor said he would do it when he was ready. However, Jessica adds that the child needs consistency, or else he will still be wearing a diaper when he is five.
Brianna Wishes For A Week Off From Work
Brianna replies, “Potty training is one where it takes a lot of f-ing time and effort to do”. To this, her mom adds that the reality star doesn’t really put her time and effort into training her son. She mentioned that Brianna needs to commit to her child’s training necessities.

However, this didn’t sit well with the Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant star. She fired back, stating that she could not take off time from work to potty train her son all by herself. She added if she weren’t a single mom, it would have been easier for her. She elaborated, “Because I’d have someone else’s income coming in. I have just mine. So, I have to work.”
Jessica Admits To Being A Single Mom Herself
To this, Jessica points out that she chips in whenever her daughter needs help. However, Jessica mentions that this isn’t what she wants to say. She wishes to take a week off work and focus on potty training Braeson. However, this isn’t possible given that she is a single mom.
As per Pop Culture, her mother points out that she understands her dilemma as she herself was a single mother with three kids to take care of. However, Brianna feels that the criticism being thrown at her by her mom isn’t really constructive.

Talking to the camera, she mentions, “My mom does critique some of my parenting. Maybe I’m wrong, and she’s trying to point out why I’m wrong and how I should change it. It’s my kid. This is my time to like to be a parent, like let me do it. It frustrates me sometimes.”
