Who Is Mama June’s Husband Justin Stroud & Why Can’t He Leave State?
Mama June Shannon married her boyfriend, Justin Stroud back in March. They wed on their six-month anniversary in a low-key private ceremony. Little was known about him when they were first spotted around town together. Over the last few episodes of Road to Redemption, their love story had started to unfold. So, who exactly is Justin, and furthermore, why can’t he leave the state of Alabama? Read on for the answers to these burning questions.
Mama June Goes On A Mission And ‘Mrs.’
When the season began, June was attempting to break free from her relationship with Geno Doak. They had been together for a handful of years but it was becoming toxic. He was drinking a lot and had become abusive and controlling. She realized the only way for her to leave was to do it at the courthouse. Once she got up the courage to do so, she returned to Georgia to stay with Pumpkin and family. Then, out of the blue, she headed to Alabama. Her daughters had noticed that she was speaking to a man constantly so they knew something was up. However, no one expected her to fly to California with her youngest daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson. Then, upon arriving back at the airport, she sent her on her way home alone.
June proceeded to head to see Jordan, 24 in Alabama as she said she was helping him with his sobriety. She then spent 50K on him before he went and got engaged to someone else. Luckily, he had a friend named Justin who clicked very quickly with June. He was also in recovery so they connected on that level. Soon enough, June took him back to Georgia with her, asked him to move in, and admitted she was in love with him. He said she was rushing it but, a handful of months later, the two were married. Though she brags about how supportive he is, there are two things fans have noted. One is that he looks like her ex, Sugar Bear (they call him Splenda Bear) and the second is they want to know why he can’t leave Alabama. Here’s what you need to know.
Justin Stroud, The Details
According to Jordan, the 24-year-old man from Alabama that Mama June originally went to go “save,” he met Justin in his rehab. Justin had been allegedly thrown out for failing a drug test. Then he and June connected and they were inseparable from there. On June’s behalf, she told Michael Rapaport on The Wendy Williams Show that she saw him on TikTok. She thought he was cute so she slid into his DM’s and that was how it all began. Either way, they are both working on their sobriety but he was able to travel with her to Georgia and was living in the trailer she bought. Back in May, June’s daughter Pumpkin gave birth to twins and June was there along with Justin. They then went on vacation but returned to Alabama and have yet to leave.
Apparently, a warrant was out for Justin back in October, according to Alabama News when he missed a meeting with his probation officer. He seemingly did not care about this, maybe did not know, as he and June galavanted in Los Angeles in January. This aligns with when they started dating and everything started to progress. His main crimes include theft and marijuana possession. So, essentially, he is most likely restricted to Alabama until all of this gets resolved as June keeps saying he has “stuff” to deal with. However, it should not prevent her from traveling to see her grandkids as she was perfectly capable of traveling around the country to “help people.”

Looks like Justin got new teeth. There goes another $10K spent on a man by Mama June. He sure did not have those teeth when he first appeared on the show.
I don’t know why she continues to date these young guys that quickly use her for her money and then We Tv fame if you want to call it that. The friend of Justin’s she met 1st and spent 10k on got what he wanted then left her and this guy will be no different. She needs to focus on her girls and help them out more financially instead of spending all her money on these young guys with criminal records.
