WWE Money in the Bank 2022 proved to be a game-changer for the WWE. A new women’s champion was crowned. Theory defended his US Title before shocking the world with his entry in the MITB match. Here are three must-see moments from Night 2 of Wrestlemania, plus full results from the show.
WWE Money in the Bank: 3 Must-See Moments
Liv’s Big Night
The Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match kicked off the show to the roar of the crowd. With a #1 contender’s cash-in contract hanging above, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Seven of the best women in the WWE clashed, resulting in high-risk spots throughout the match. In the end, Alexa Bliss and Lacey Evans were knocked to the outside by Becky Lynch. Lynch started to climb the ladder, however, Liv Morgan was quick to springboard and join her. Lynch was soon knocked off allowing Morgan to climb to the top and grab the briefcase. With tears in her eyes, Morgan earned the right to cash in for any Women’s Title.
Theory’s Shocking Win
Theory defended his United States Championship against The All Mighty Bobby Lashley at WWE Money in the Bank. Ever since winning the title, Theory has been riding high as Mr. McMahon’s top protege. Despite his recent good luck, Theory ran into a motivated Lashley. Theory attempted the A-Town Down, however, Lashley was able to counter into the Hurt Lock. Theory attempted to escape but failed, leading to Lashley becoming the new champion. Despite this, it was only hours later when Theory was added to the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. With all his opponents on the ground, Theory was able to rush up the ladder and secure the briefcase.
Tag Title War
An Instant Tag Team Classic
The Bloodline has dominated the WWE for the better part of two years. With Roman Reigns as the lead dog, The Usos have pulled their weight by unifying the tag team titles. The Street Profits have been on their heels for months and earned a shot against The Usos at WWE Money in the Bank. In what many are calling an instant classic, The Usos defeated The Street Profits in controversial fashion. After the match, it was shown on the big screen that Montez Ford’s arm was off the match during the three count.
