If you’ve been following the Plath family’s show on TLC, you know that things have been rough between Kim and her son, Ethan. They don’t always see eye to eye. So, there’s been plenty of conflicts featured on the show.

Recently, since Ethan and his wife, Olivia Plath have moved to Tampa, they don’t seem to be spending too much time with Kim.

But now, Ethan has mentioned his mother once again and seems to be giving some insight into where they might stand. However, the shade he threw is pretty subtle, so it’s not clear exactly how good or bad their relationship is right now.

In a new Instagram post this weekend, Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball shared a new video of Ethan and Olivia. This video is actually a Cameo.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Cameo, it’s a website where celebrities can sell personalized videos. Ethan and Olivia offer videos on the platform. So, a fan might buy a special personalized video dedicated to a friend or family member for their birthday or another occasion.

The video features both Olivia and Ethan Plath. In the video, Ethan acknowledges that the recipient watches his family’s show. He says he hopes they enjoy it. Then, he says, “Hopefully the parts that are irritating don’t irritate you too much. And the parts that are funny make up for the irritating parts.”

As he and Olivia start giggling, he adds, “I’m not talking about my mom.”

So, Ethan talks about the “irritating” moments in his family’s show and mentions his mom just seconds later. He did try to say he’s not talking about his mom, though.
