This week, Josh was transferred from the Washington County Jail in Arkansas to the Federal Correctional Institute in Seagoville, Texas. There, he will be serving a 12-year sentence for his child pornography crimes.
He was arrested in the spring of 2021 and convicted in December. His sentencing date was in May. He remained in Arkansas for a short time due to the limited space in prison. But now, he’s officially in his new living quarters in Seagoville.

Katie Joy Paulson of Without a Crystal Ball shared some of the details of Josh Duggar’s living quarters. In a new Instagram post this week, she said a source gave her information about Josh’s life behind bars. She has received emails from family members of Josh’s fellow inmates.
In her post, she claimed that the “prison is buzzing” due to Josh’s arrival.
Katie also reported:
“There is also a Segregated Housing Unit where inmates typically go to upon arrival for a risk assessment. Rumors have been flying that Josh was in the SHU unit. According the the family members we’ve spoken to, Josh Duggar “sightings” within the prison have been the topic of conversation. However, many of the inmates have no idea what he looks like so the sightings are just rumor.”
Due to the nature of Josh Duggar’s crimes, many fans believed that he might have a tough time in prison. People often point out that s*x offenders are treated poorly behind bars.
In her post, however, Katie claimed that there is not a lot of violence in this particular facility. This information might shock fans who previously thought Josh might be the victim of violence behind bars.
Katie also stated that “Josh playing the victim will not fly there,” according to her sources.
