It looks like Josh Duggar is officially on the move to a federal prison facility. Since the guilty verdict came in at his child pornography trial late last year, he’s been at the Washington County Jail in Arkansas. The eldest Duggar son has now been sentenced to 151 months (a little more than 12 years) in prison. His sentencing was about a month ago.
However, as we recently reported about a week ago, it was revealed that Josh was still waiting to be transferred to a federal facility. An insider told The Sun about why Josh hadn’t been transferred as of a week ago.
The source stated that the facilities are “jam-packed.” Plus, they said, “The two facilities they are asking for are small, like 1,700 people small.”
Now, Josh appears to be on his way to a federal prison facility. So, it looks like there’s finally a spot for him in one of these prisons. Keep reading to get all of the details that have come out about this move so far.
Josh Duggar is on the move to a federal facility.
KNWA Fox 24 digital reporter C.C. McCandless revealed that Josh is on the move to a federal facility. He sent out a tweet on Friday, June 24, spilling the latest details of Josh’s location.
According to McCandless, “Josh Duggar has been removed from the Washington County Jail inmate roster, indicating that he is being transferred to a federal facility.”
He added, “The Bureau of Prisons has not updated his custody status yet.”

At this point, it’s unclear which federal prison Josh Duggar will serve his sentence in. When he was handed his 151-month sentence, a couple of facilities were mentioned. We will have to wait to get more details about his transfer and where he’s located.
There are no federal facilities in the state of Arkansas, so his move is out of state. This means that his family will have to travel out of the state if they would like to visit him.
For now, all that’s known is that Josh is on his way to a federal facility and is no longer at the Washington County Jail.
