Her husband, Josh Duggar, was recently sentenced to 12-and-a-half years behind bars on child pornography crimes. So, she won’t be celebrating with him this year.
Because she’s not celebrating with her husband, Anna Duggar made her own birthday tribute to herself and shared it online.
A source previously spoke to InTouch Weekly and said that Anna would be having a low-key birthday. Now Josh’s wife has shared a little bit more about her special day.
Anna Duggar pays tribute to herself on her birthday.
On Thursday, June 23, Anna made a shocking appearance on social media. After laying low for months, she has finally surfaced. Josh Duggar’s wife shared a new post on her Instagram stories in the morning.
The post doesn’t include any pictures and is just a text post. It appears to have been typed on her iPhone notes and screenshotted to post on Instagram.
You can check it out below. Note that Instagram stories are only available to view for 24 hours. Her followers can message her in response to this post, but those messages are private. So, it’s unclear what kind of replies she’s getting.
Anna Duggar wrote, “Officially 34. Fourteen years since I said, ‘YES!'”
It’s the 14-year anniversary of Josh proposing to her.
Then, she revealed how she’s spending her day, noting, “Road-tripping to visit my bestie. Even If by MercyMe on repeat.”
Finally, she shared a line from the song:
“Jesus, I will cling to You come what may.”
She also added the song to the background of her story. You can see the lyrics in the bottom right corner of the snap.
At this point, it’s still early in Arkansas, so we’ll have to wait and see whether any of Anna Duggar’s family members wish her a happy birthday. For now, she’s paid tribute to herself on her special day with this post, it seems. She also posted this same message on Twitter.
