Mayim Bialik’s COVID Diagnosis Broke Her Heart For Unexpected Reason

Mayim Bialik opened up about her COVID diagnosis. The host of Jeopardy! announced to her fans a few days ago that she caught the virus. She admits that she’s heartbroken over it. This is the first time that she’s caught COVID.

On Monday, June 20, Bialik took to Instagram to share her diagnosis. She contracted the virus even though she was vaccinated and boosted. Bialik admits that she also stopped wearing her mask. However, she’s disappointed and let down by what happened.

Jeopardy! host says COVID is “no joke”

During her Instagram live, Mayim Bialik wanted to inform fans about her health scare. She wanted to make it clear that she hasn’t been feeling like herself lately. That’s when she shared her positive COVID diagnosis. The 46-year-old cracked jokes during the live, but admitted that it was “no joke.”

“I have COVID, and it’s no joke over here,” Mayim Bialik said, as quoted by Fox News. “It’s very exhausting, the exhaustion is very special. I had mononucleosis when I was in college and the exhaustion hits like that where you cannot be awake, you can try to be awake but then all of a sudden you need to sleep.”

The former Blossom star said that her biggest symptom has been the exhaustion that came with it. She’s holding out hope that she will recover. She has faith that her body knows how to snap back from it. Bialik has dealt with other health issues like asthma and thyroid condition.

Her friend suggested she should take lemon juice with ginger and turmeric to help ease the symptoms. She also has supplements and vitamins on hand. While she’s doing all the right things, Bialik joked that “Graham crackers and dark chocolate” helps more. But, she quickly assured fans that she was not trying to make light of this serious situation.

Mayim Bialik feels let down by her diagnosis

This is the first time that Mayim Bialik has gotten COVID since the pandemic broke out in March 2022. She revealed that her heart was broken when she saw the positive diagnosis. Bialik feels regret for not wearing her mask in public. The actress also admitted that she’s feeling fearful once again.

“I’m feeling a whole bunch of regret that I ever took my mask off ever in the world, like even outside,” Mayim Bialik said. “I’m feeling a lot of fear. Why did I ever go out? Why did I think that anything was fine ever?”

She urged her fans to “stay safe” and “be careful.” As for her, she plans to rest and take it easy. Bialik will continue to co-host Jeopardy! alongside Ken Jennings. However, the show is about to announce a new permanent host in July.
