Welcome To Plathville star arrested for DUI

The Reality Snark first reported on the arrest back in May. According to the outlet’s report, the mugshot and arrest details were featured on The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office’s website at one point in time. The link, however, is broken. The mugshot, basic arrest details, charges, and bond information, however, can be found on a website called MugZone.

According to multiple outlets and arrest records, Welcome To Plathville star Nathan Meggs a.k.a Nate was arrested for a DUI on March 11, 2022. Now, Nathan isn’t a main cast member or even an immediate family member of the Plaths. He, however, has been in the show. And, he is connected to the Plath family.

It was just last month that TvShowsAce did a report on who Nathan Meggs was and how he was connected to the family. Turns out, that Nathan is Olivia Plath’s little brother. He is presently 19 years old and he was introduced into the show early on in Season 4.

What did he get arrested for, exactly?

According to the criminal report, Nathan Meggs was at a gas station at the time of his arrest. He’s the initial report from the records:

The defendant was observed unconscious in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, while the vehicle was turned on, at the gas pumps of a gas station. The defendant had vomited on himself, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his mouth, he was slurring his words, and he presented a noticeable sway. I asked the defendant if I could check his eyes and he agreed. The defendant had a lack of smooth pursuit and distinct and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation. The defendant then agreed to perform field sobriety exercises and exhibited clues of impairment. The defendant provided a breath sample of .087/.088% BrAC.”

On Instagram, Welcome To Plathville fans admit they were a bit baffled as to why he would be so extremely intoxicated when he was barely over the legal limit. Others (including Katie Joy) chimed in to remind that Nathan Meggs was just 19. So, it was possible he didn’t have any experience with alcohol and had an extremely low tolerance.

  1. Yes it’s the first, but they are human too. The kids were so *overly* sheltered growing up (Olivia’s family was the same as the Plath’s) and when kids are raised like this, more often than not, they rebel and go the complete opposite way that they were raised. For instance, look at Moriah, she’s a cool person and I’m glad she’s doing her own *thing* but sheis definitely not living the way she was raised. Raising children too restricted, winds up with the kids rebelling, more times than not. Look at many preacher’s kids for instance….they are shielded from the world, and don’t get exposed to much growing up, so they go full speed into everything they were kept from growing up.
