Throughout Sister Wives, each wife has expressed discontent when Kody doesn’t spend enough one-on-one time with them. But between four wives, 18 children, and three grandchildren, Kody finds that his time is stretched pretty thin.
That’s why some viewers believe that Kody Brown could do much better if he addressed each wife’s love language instead. For those who don’t know, the five love languages are:
- Words of affirmation
- Quality time
- Receiving gifts
- Acts of service
- Physical touch

“Meri is words of affirmation. All she needed was someone to talk nicely to her. That’s why the catfish got her,” one Reddit user explained. “Janelle is acts of service. She wanted Kody to do the dad thing. And mostly the things about polygamy she talks about liking are things like ‘I have time to just go to the movies and then someone else makes dinner!’ ‘Everyone else went early and set up the vacation and I just had to show up.'”
“Christine is quality time,” the Redditor continued. “She talked about it in the book, she talked about it when they moved to Vegas. … She wanted him present and in the moment when they were together. That’s why she is gone. Robyn is gifts. That is why her house looks like a hoarder’s nest.”
