This RHOBH star insulted fans with her social media post. Fans are fed up with her and want her removed from the show. They slammed the Bravo star for the “racially insensitive” comment she made to a black woman. Read on to learn more about the latest controversy and see what she has to say.
What happened to the Bravo firings?
The Bravo firings first took place in June 2020, at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement. George Floyd’s death lead to the resurgence of the massive, nationwide movement that occurred at the of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, companies took notes on how to change their ways.
Bravo has been the face of casting racist people and not including enough diversity. Many fans demand the network fire their stars, including RHOBH stars like Brandi Glanville.
In June 2020, Bravo fired Vanderpump Rules alumni Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni for their racially insensitive comments and social media posts. Andy Cohen said it would lead to future firings.
Yet, it died down as quickly as it ramped up. The network only fired Peter Hunziker from Below Deck Mediterranean for his racist and misogynistic Instagram post that surfaced around that time.
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright left VPR. Though some fans think they were secretly fired. Earlier this year, the network followed through on its word when it fired Jennie Nguyen from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City after her racist posts surfaced on social media.
This caused criticism among fans, her co-stars, and other Bravo stars. Since this sparked such an outcry on social media, Bravo fired the reality star.
RHOBH star slammed for her racially insensitive post
Now, fans are hoping that the company will move forward with firing more cast members. This time, the controversy is surrounding the new star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
However, she has yet to win fans over. Some are done with her over-the-top displays of wealth. Others slammed her for her insensitive comments about outlet shopping. Now, they’re just done with her and want her off the show.
What did Diana Jenkins do?
Bravo fan Kristen Dionne shared a meme on Instagram that compared Diana’s old face to her current looks. It reads, “My mind can’t comprehend that this [is] the same woman.” Check out the post for yourself here.
“Uuhhhh I guess the first (Diana) was the one that shopped in stores, and the 2nd is allergic to dust and doesn’t know what an outlet is,” she jokingly wrote in the caption.
Diana didn’t find the joke funny. She wrote, “It can’t feel good being a Black content creator.”
RHOBH fans caught wind of the insensitive comment. They’re calling for Bravo to reignite their firings and to remove the newbie from the series. Other fans took to the thread on Reddit to call her a “bore” and “racist.”
RHOBH star backtracks on her insensitive comment
Diana tried to explain herself to RHOBH fans. She explained that “Black content creators” focus on creating “snarky content.”
Diana used that “term because I thought that’s what it meant.” However, Kristen revealed that the reality star didn’t apologize to her directly. She only did it to save face, according to the fan.
Best apology is changed behavior…we've got our eyes on you & that apology was not on the creator's page or to her directly. She just unblocked me
