ABC ditches rotating celebrity hosts for singular host

Bachelor In Paradise Season 8 was officially confirmed a few months ago. The network also revealed plans for who will host the beachy spin-off.

Season 7 saw a series of rotating celebrity hosts following Chris Harrison’s exit from the franchise. NSYNC’s Lance Bass and comic David Spade were among the celebrity hosts.

However, ABC is ditching the revolving door of hosts for just one singular host. Who?

Jesse Palmer will return as host of Bachelor In Paradise after his virgin voyage as host of The Bachelor.

When will Season 8 of BIP premiere?

When ABC confirmed BIP, they didn’t reveal a premiere date. However, the network did reveal a schedule shakeup would put BIP on the fall schedule instead of summer.

The Bachelorette kicks off on July 11, with BIP following this fall. When?

ABC released its fall premiere schedule earlier this week. Per Us Weekly, Season 8 of BIP will premiere on Tuesday, September 27.

It will take over the fall timeslot previously held by Dancing With The Stars.

DWTS will return for Seasons 31 and 32, but not on ABC. Rather, the network shifted the celebrity dance competition to the Disney+ streaming service.

After the Tuesday premiere, BIP will occupy the Monday and Tuesday timeslot.

Bachelor Nations alums looking for a second shot at love

ABC has yet to give any inkling as to which Bachelor Nation alums will appear on Season 8. They are likely waiting until Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia’s season of The Bachelorette(s) is over.

However, Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss dropped a huge spoiler when he posted that filming began for BIP.

The post from June 9, 2022, reveals a former contestant from Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor. Eagle-eyed fans noticed the woman in the white bikini is Serene Russell.

She was one of many names floating around Bachelor Nation fan sites as possible BIP contestants.

Other names include Katie Thurston’s suitor Michael Allio and Season 26 villain Shanae Ankney.

Fans will have to wait for ABC to release the official cast list for Season 8 of BIP.
